Redmi K40 and Pro may be renamed Mi 11X for India, K40 Pro+ to be called Mi 11i instead

04 March 2021
The Xiaomi Mi 11i may or may not be a sequel to India's Mi 10i. Also, the K40 and K40 Pro will be renamed to Poco F3, F3 Pro for the global market.

For awhile now these chinese phones have been using different names in different regions to create confusion.

Sometimes Xiaomi takes the same hardware but changes are minimal, like cameras, but all these changes get a price(low or high). Not to forget that EU has a higher taxation rate and bigger wages, wich will translate in a higher price for the same device.
I suspect that they rebrand things just for brand awareness and to gain market share.

YUKI93, 05 Mar 2021So let me get this straight: - Redmi K40 in China = Poco ... moretheir phones are great but the naming scheme oh my god it gives me a headache pls stop xiaomi plz me die of migraines

So let me get this straight:
                    - Redmi K40 in China = Poco F3 for Global = Mi 11X for India.
                    - Redmi K40 Pro in China = Poco F3 Pro for Global = Mi 11X Pro in India.
                    - Redmi K40 Pro+ in China = Mi 11i in India.

This is why phone rebranding exercise is a total joke. Why don't Xiaomi just stick with ONE name for everyone.

This means that Mi 11 isnt going to be coming to India. This year, the Indian market has been completely overlooked by Mi - the global release of mi 11 didn't include India and they are messing up K40 pro to just diversify their non existent performance portfolio in India.

If the classification: Poco < Redmi < Mi

                            Then..

All Poco series should have plastic body, B grade display, B grade camera, but having good chipset (just like Poco F1 for example).. to make it cheap and block Narzo series (from Realme).

All Redmi series should have plastic frame but glass back, A grade display, A grade camera. Other spec is depend on pricing segment (lower, mid, or highe) to block Realme series.

All Mi series should have metal frame and glass back, A+ grade display, A+ camera, and good spec to compete with other big brand. Mi series should have solid and premium build because Mi series are not as cheap as before.

Xiaomi now creating confusion more & more

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2021Not really. Give us an exampleAlso considering mi 10i sells for 22k inr (almost same as launch price of k40), They can't launch K40 at same price as they didn't in China (it would eat away their sales of recently launched MI 10i). The only way to make it happen is to launch it as a flagship with Mi branding. It would easily go for 30k+.
