People replace their phone in 3 years or even more, and of course they want the performance and camera that are able to withstand the years, while not costing a good amount of fortune. Chinese brands do this, they offer great specs and camera in budget, the phones specs-wise are still quite relevant in the long run. Of course they sell really well.
