If you would have made an effort and explained why it was a sweet spot for you in the first place you wouldn't have been judged. There are far too many one line comments on this site without any substance. Good on you for clarifying your position sans the insult.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2021Oh are they? Or maybe the sweet spot for your wallet. I fin... moreDude.. They cost the same. I have had Samsung gear S at first.. then switched to Huawei Gt 2 pro.. which costs same as apple watch 5 and SE.. I didn't go for Apple watch for 2 reasons because apple watch isn't supported in my android phone and my ipad. I love apple products .. infact I have had 3 ipads before my current ipad air 3. I also have airpods 1 and apple pencil 2. I also have 3 ipods that I don't use anymore. So don't go around and judge people without knowing them. you sound like an i diot.. Second reason is battery. Not everyone requires smartwatches for playing games or sending replies. My main purpose on a smartwatch is listening to music, navigation, tracking my runs and yes picking calls while driving. With all this I get 14+ days battery backup. That's why I told it's a sweet spot.. as it can do a lot more than basic generic smartband, but not so much like apple watch or android wear but giving more battery.

Hello Life, 07 Mar 2021Huawei smart watches are the sweet spotOh are they? Or maybe the sweet spot for your wallet. I find it interesting that some people feel the need to comment on every Apple related article preaching how their cheaper but better than Apple's gadget is the one to choose. My guess is that's all you can afford therefore you are not even on Apple's radar or target market so why bother? The article clearly says that the Apple Watch leads GLOBAL SMARTWATCH SALES so you and your comment are in the minority. Let people enjoy which brands they want to enjoy and stop preaching your cheaper alternatives.

Anonymous, 06 Mar 2021Wrong....... for apple user theres no other company outside appleBack when I had an iphone, I use my Amazfit GTR 42mm watch with it. Works without any problems after you download Zepp app.
Apple watch is useless to me. One because it works only with iphones. And second, battery is only for maximum 2 days. Yeah, it has a lot of smart features, but those features doesn't mean anything, if you need to constantly put it on charging.
My Amazfit GTR watch has 7-8 days of battery life.
Fun fact, my Amazfit watch was pared without problems with my iphone (I receive all notifications and so on). But it has problems parrying with my previous Xiaomi phone. Lol. In the sense, my watch was connected, but I didn't receive any call or message notifications (only data about my sleep, walking, heart measure, etc.). And yes, I entered in the app settings and did all the correct settings about this.
PS: Yes, I had both a Xiaomi and an iphone. Also a One Plus phone, a Samsung phone, etc. I like phones. Lol.

I played with an Apple watch for a while. At first it is somewhat impressive they managed to cram all that utter nonsense in such a small body. I get it they are trying to create new needs, but the frustration of having such a useless toy overtakes you a week later. That is valid for all smartwatches. You still need your phone for everything but now it is even more intrusive with than extension attached to your wrist. The cheapest smart band is absolutely fine if you need it for the additional sensors.

I'm a “ZEBRA” when it concerns tech devices. I used only Android ones until July last year. Nowadays I use those of both ecosystems. Both have enjoyable features. However I wasn't able to get my AW6 to work with my Galaxy Watch Active 2 nor my Galaxy Watch Active 2 with my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Anonymous, 06 Mar 2021Apple Watch.
1. Unlock your Mac / Smart home. / Shortcuts ... moreYou can do all of that on pretty much every smartwatch on a market that is trying to replace a phone.
Unlocking a device can be made even with the cheapest fitness band.

Apple Watch.
1. Unlock your Mac / Smart home. / Shortcuts activation / Controls iPhone's Camera remotely.
2. Payment without need for internet via Apple Pay
3. All notification & ability to reply back. (It can even be set to silent tap on your wrist so you know there is notifications without interrupting people)
4. Music identification via Soundhound / Shazam
5. Whatsapp / Voice call / Walkie Talkie directly on the watch.. like Star Trek.
6. Track your health, earn subsidies for your insurance, or just keep healthy.
7. Time / Date / Calendar awareness without flipping your phone.
8. Lightweight, allowing you to go for a run without carrying a phone.
Sure there might be overlapping from Android wear or other watches. But they are limited, and thus this watch is top. And Android users who are not in Apple's ecosystem, will be confused and have a hard time comprehending.

I am on my 5th or 6th smartwatch already, and I must say I was never happier I did not jump hype train and bought a smartwatch that you can replace your phone with ... and you have to charge it pretty much every day.
I really like a portion of the smartwatch market where smartwatch is a slave to your phone, and it's not trying to act like a broken medical device with laughable accuracy.
I guess I am still pretty old school and watch means reliability in a first place.
