I'm from the philippines and I'm just really wondering when this phone will be out.. Does anyone have any inside info as to when this will reach philippines or hong kong?
I'm considering this over the iPhone specifically because this seems to be a good contender all together except that it runs on windows mobile OS so I wonder if it'll be stable compared to the iPhone?
If anyone can help, I'd really really appreciate it :)

Quite agree with previous posting, the wait is intolerable. I have a Samsung and am trying to be loyal, but this is tested when you are ready to buy a new phone and other good products are available. Come on Samsung up your game!

It looks like Samsung will have it all wrapped up with this good looking phoned. It's a F480 properly specified. Do we need qwerty? not sure yet. Biggest problem however, is having leaked details of this phone the intollerable wait now until it is available. Why do these firms create such frustration?

is it just me or does it look like the i900 has flash on the video call camera?

lack of qwerty keyboard is a minus compared to the X1.
also, the resolution seems barely usable for excel applications.
but if the weight is much lighter, i'd take the sacrifice.

@Kal:
There were probably two things that would make or break i900 from being a X1 killer.
-processor
-display
if with these two factors i900 still manages to outshine X1 as well, then your assumption is correct :D

@daniel:
first of all i did not post here to start flame on this thread nor to make pointless arguments with someone who fails to decipher the idea of my post. but since you're previous sound too-personal to tolerate may i ask you where in my post did i generally say i900 beats X1? imo this line "i900 outshines X1 in the camera specs imo" bears alot of difference with the line "i900's camera is better the SE X1 camera" you forcibly put into my mouth. and secondly i came here to post my opinion(as you can read on my previous post i said "imo") and i am very disappointed how people like you lambasts me with such ridiculous posts.
and lastly, i'm an asian.

There seems to be some changes as its now only triband and the dimension is bit different. WiFi has been added.
I just hope they kept the 8Gb onboard memory. Cheers!

It was first leaked in january 08.
source: http://www.slashphone.com/102/9133.html
It is rumored to have the following specs:
GSM Quadband
UTMS, HSDPA 7.2 mbps
Bluetooth 2.0
5 megapixel camera with auto focus
FM Radio
Java
8GB built in memory
microSD card slot
gesture control
112 x 56 x 12.5 mm
1500 mAh battery
Now the specs sheet definitely kills x1. Isnt it?

hey razec where the heck did u get the idea that the i900's camera is better the SE X1 camera. you havent even touched the phones and jumping to conclusions.
and why dont u americans finally catch up with the world and move across to the 3G world. thats why u get crap phones and thats why u use plastic flip phone for $25 hahaha

i900 outshines X1 in the camera specs imo. although we'll find out how it stands against X1 in terms of usability, performance, UI "eyecandies", and network.
Anyhow i900 looks like an E90 killer.

This is ridiculous. Not a single Samsung touchscreen is quad band and can be used reliably in the US. F490, F480, and now the i900? WTF is wrong with Samsung? Do they think Americans are cheap and love $25 plastic flip phones?

Can't wait for the i900! If it has a stylus and hand-writing recognition, I'm sold!
