At this things Apple is ok. I mean, each software can have bugs, it's normal. But the fact that they can correct it in the shortest time possible it feels good. Their IOS still remains closed and lacks some features, but their software updates are on point.
I remember when I had small software problems in the past with some of my Android phones (I waited even 4 months for an update to arrive). Which is not that good.

Kingslayer, 09 Mar 2021What's crazy is Dr. Mario World can be played on Nexus... moreBasing an entire product on the ability to play a video game on outdated hardware is hardly an argument. Apple isn't for you if you can't afford the ecosystem. People with stable income can afford to replace their smartphones. Playing Dr. Mario is not on everyone's priority list, especially professionals.

hayashi, 09 Mar 2021Maybe for Windows, yes, but that does not necessarily apply... moreLOL,
U keep on arguing with NO sources to back ur point, while I present my argument based on the data from statcounter.com ; which one is more valid?

If u really want to argue, first present the facts, how many users are still using Android 4.x?
(I doubt many sites would bother separating Android version below Lollipop (5.0),

          but from what I see, Android 4.x are still widely used, as older phones like Samsung Note3 & Note4 still have lots of users (at least in my country);

Here, people like branded phone (albeit old) with complete features (FPS, 2K display, stylus, MicroSD slot, removable battery, 3.5mm jack, NFC, Infrared for remote, main cam with OIS, hardware-based gyro for Gaming).

Now, is there even one brand who made device with all the feature above?
The last one, which tick most of the feature above are LG G5 & v20, released in 2016.

In short, the android version doesn't amount much to Android users, what's important is the features it come out-of-the-box, added with Play Store minimum requirement for most apps are still ICS (4.0)

DD, 09 Mar 2021Didn't Samsung just recently removed their headphone j... moreGood, so instead of introspect, u choose to bash others & shift the topic to blame other OEM.

First, if u can get away giving less while charging more, why not?
That's the logic of most business in the world.
-) First, Apple got away with irremovable battery since day 1 in 2007; many were complained, but because of Job's sweet talk, less & less people complained
-) Second, Apple got away with no expandable slot since day 1 in 2007; many were complained, compared it to Nokia, even to dumb phone, but again, because of Job's sweet talk, less & less people complained
-) Third, Apple are notorious for suing & blaming its customer for their own fault / product defect, such as iphone 6 & ipad 'fold' feature, 'you're charging it wrong', throttling down previous iphone (read: planned obsolesce),
-) Fourth, Apple got away with omitting essential features just for the sake of more $$ (FPS omitted, 3.5mm jack removed, charging brick omitted)

With all those years of example, do u think any sane business in the world won't try to copy their 'giving less, charging more' business plan?

Up till late 2016, US$500-600 phone are still considered flagship price, but with the introduction of US$1000 iphone X, OEM started to realize even charging more with each passing year won't actually made people complain.
See what could you get with US$500-600 now? mostly mid-range smartphone that previously sold for US$300 at most.

I dunno about iTrolls, but i do have extensive knowledge about smartphones; so ur claim about "droidtards" are invalid; showing u'r the 'Appletards' urself actually

When that happens I will give my Note 9 to my kids all while still having the SII and Note 4, S7 as spare devices. Pretty sure we still have an S5 kicking around a drawer somewhere as well.

I still have my HTC Magic for camping trips, 2 batteries and a bluetooth speaker / headphones or whatever. The point is is that they all still work.

It doesn't have to be a brand new flagship-tier smartphone in the first place. There is a lot of capable midrange and upper midrange phones out there with the latest version of Android.

[deleted post]I don't think it's about copying alone, I think it's because iPhone claims to be the first to do such things when in fact the only thing they did first was form factor and removal of hardware (3.5 jack, power brick... more to follow I'm sure).

according statcounter.com, Win7 users are still 17% and WinXP users are 1% around the world.
What does this mean? Some People don't bother upgrading their OS as long as it's working as usual, as there are many risk in upgrading, such as Battery drain, brick, Buggy, etc.

Please don't tell us that's small percentage, as even iOS & MacOS users are not even half of Win7 users, even combined!

                                    LOL

I just hate the inability to uninstall the app so I can sideload an older version of my liking with iOS. Some older versions of certain apps really are superior to the latest ones.

My SE1 on 10.3.2 also has trouble with Twitter for some reason. My previous SE1 on 10.2.6 acted the same way which is why I eventually sold it 2 years ago. But my 7 on 14.0.1 has no lag browsing on Twitter.

I like on Android with MX Player where I can listen to the audio of the video while the display is off. On iOS, we finally have PIP but no capability of playing a movie with a screen off. I think iOS is really catered to children and simps. It's too dumb of an OS for me to use.
