June 11, 2021 is a Friday. I can't see Google announcing the Pixel 5a on a Friday but maybe that week or the following week. Still looking foward to seeing it.

By the way, Sony already has the technology for 3D facial scanning, similar to Apple FaceID. With enough collaboration (Sony Pixel phones?), Android phones might finally have facial recognition that is secure.
Maybe first give it to the top premium phones, then let the tech trickle down to cheaper phones after some years.

I have the pixel 2 xl panda :)) and it works like a charm. I have no problem with the battery, camera, software... . I am aiming on a google phone with these three thing: 1.Pixel visual core chip 2. Project Soli chip for facial recognition 3. Finally the White Chapel chip, which google said it will come but no one knows when it will come :(( . If google want beat apple and Samsung,it could do so by making the White Chapel chip because it has 2 advantages, first Google could improve the support of update years to up to 4 years of software and security updates , second it could be easier for the company to send some killer features specifically for pixel phones.

A centre punch hole would be a big career mistake. As for the back, I thought the concept curve inlay shown last year had novel character. Nice to have a handset with personality. I still rock the smaller pixel 3. It's fantastic band perfect size

Let's just hope the 4a will get android 14 to make up for the delay.
Practically it shipped with android 10, but 11 was already available at launch.

If you want a compact phone right now you can get the Pixel 4a, still a good option. Or you can wait couple of months for the 5a. Or beg the Chinese companies to release a nice compact phone with a good price. Lol.

I just hope they bring back the ultra wide selfie camera.... it is really great on my pixel 3 xl... I keep waiting for the return of this feature and it never comes..

Google pixel always brings out its phones late. It's as if it's lazy. In this month there are already a lot of new ones coming out. How do they expect people to buy their phones when they have phones coming out before them? And with archaic chips too.
Google in June and November maybe: "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...."

If Google will still insist on using an upper midrange chipset for the Pixel 6 just like they did with the Pixel 5, will we be seeing the same SD 765G chipset or the upcoming SD 775/788? Or perhaps, Google could even consider using the SD 870 for the Pixel 6. After all, the vanilla SD 865 itself is still blazing fast in 2021 despite being launched over a year ago, so Google can make good use of the newer SD 865 chipset variant.

Pixel 4A, 4A 5G, and 5, none of which are spared from design and hardware flaws, including: 5 of an under-screen speaker that is barely audible on calls, body with physical flaws (which Google said was part of the design LOL). 4A Bluetooth flaws, ghost touches and low sensitivity on parts of the screen. 4A 5G with serious sensitivity flaws on the right side of the screen (which Google deleted user complaints on their page), speakers with crackling noise, battery drain and more things I haven't quite seen. Like a not quality stereo sound. Let's hope that the quality control of these people improves in the Pixel 6. Because I really like the Pixel, I love the pixels, but not that they steal my money by selling me a potato or brick.
