I'd be way more than happy to take three premium camera sensor with wide, ultrawide, and telephoto focal length instead of four cameras with useless macro and depth sensor in the mix.

Ohh my god only three? I need a 2mp macro camera, 2mp depth sensor, and a 2mp monochrome sensor. My life won't be complete without these.

Unfortunately, this annoying sh*t just never ends, manufacturers are afraid of having low amount of cameras, because there are always going to be at least few customers who looks at two phones and pick the one with more cameras, thinking more cameras = better camera performance.
