I forget current 4a model got 5G moniker than XL. 4a and 4a 5G is traded for $100 apart, so if Google able to pull same difference in value (once they manufacture locally). We have buyers for both models.. 5a for 30-32k INR and 5a XL for 36-38k (even ~40k if they put SD775).

Good that Google is planning to manufacturer locally will help Google to price it's devices more aggressively. Also I would have waited for year or so, but got a good deal and picked up this G8X Thinq and really enjoying it.

Unfortunately pixel devices have always had hardware issues

Yeah not bad but first and foremost invest behind quality control so that your phones can be used in long term and don't die after a year or two. The price of 4a was more than fine but couldn't consider it after the horrible experience with Pixel XL, which died time and again, after paying for repair several times. And stop sending refurbished devices which keep dying. The overall scenario with Pixel is really terrible.

Even being a Pixel victim I'll still forward to the day when the longevity of them are on par with Samsung and Apple. Will that day every come though!

India is way too price sensitive, man. Even OnePlus had to bring their phone at insanely cheaper rates, compared to the global pricing. And I highly doubt Google can be that aggressive in pricing

Pixel phones are a little overpriced for what they offer on paper. Comparing them with a Xiaomi, Realme or One Plus for example.
But, after recent disappointment in IOS (not necessarily in iphones) and Xiaomi/Samsung full of bloatware phones (advertisements too in the case of Xiaomi), I decided to give Google phones a try.
I paid 450EUR for my Pixel 4a (my first ever Google phone). Even though at the beginning I thought I paid a little bit much (is just a piece of plastic, with less then appealing design), when you start using the phone and especially the camera (oh boy that point and shoot single camera can go head to head with any flagship phone main camera, and is not even a joke), you realize why it cost like that. Not to mention is the only compact size Android phone worth buying right now (not you S10e, lol).
Yeah, imo, I think Google did a good job with the Pixel series in 2020. Especially if you are looking for something different than your ordinary Xiaomi/Samsung phones, that are all over the place.

Thanks congress for make in india and rajiv gandhi PLI scheme.

Pixel phones are bad but since am not an android lover I don't really them though they are good in stills and in night mode

                      Very good move by Google.
Compact size with great software support and user experience is something that sells.

It will be a game changer if they price it right. India is a price conscious market.

Good that Google considering India for more Pixels. Hope Pixel 5a XL comes to India as well as there are potential buyers for XL variants..

I'd definitely consider buying a pixel phone if they maintain their compact size whilst driving down the price to around 25K. SoC doesn't matter.
