It won mkbhd blind test... moreIt isn't what most say about it, it for sure has the best front camera in that regard, but as for a main camera I am not sure, also it has more than the camera who isn't what I look for, I would rather buy the Poco F2 Pro, but I am waiting for a more recent phone, and phones with no front camera may actually come soon, which for me is even better than a pop up !
And yes, GCam can take the best out of a sensor that the brand's software often can't compete with.

This phone though I find its bump extremely ugly.
The Poco F2 Pro part isn't opinion though, it is fact.
I don't really mind the price, well if the phone have good enough feature, but at over 1000$ and no Gorilla Glass Victus this is nonsense.
And that's my point, I keep saying that we could have a lot of more unique phones, every niche are quite big in the Smartphone Industry, there is a huge potential for profits if well done, but people are angry when we talk about anything other than punch hole and slim body despite already all the phone being available with it, as if a single phone outside their preferences would ruin their life, yet I am the bad guy for wanting ONE phone that match my desires and I could buy.
Indeed this phone is not for me, but this is important to write down our tastes, well it should be, normally, in every markets, there are people studying demand, tendencies, investors finding out what people want, etc, but in the smartphone market, so many people complain so much about any proposal that get even slightly off course of the almost single phone design we have today, that it is impossible to do market study, as one couldn't find out if the idea is genuinely disliked, or if it just a bunch of whiners without investing way too much times every-times, so the best bet is to constantly write what we want if we want it to happen one day, and every-time someone come and complain about it, do it again.
The day I'll find a phone that suit my need, I'll still, when I feel it is necessary (which is far from "all articles" as others said), I'll keep writing that some things, like punch hole, curved edge display, lack of 3.5mm Jack, 2Mp sensors, etc are super invasive and leave no alternatives.

beep bop boop who couldn't understand that "Macro" and "Telephoto" could be combined and said that one is superior to the other, seriously, most of the time I feel like talking to people who can't understand simple sentences, so better throw everything in my comments so there are more chances to get more things understood...
And nope, I just tested and I am at 60WPM, but when writing those out of my head I am faster than typing random words from the test though.

The Zenfone 7 Pro doesn't have a 3.5mm Jack, unlike the pop up, the flip up do have some issues, it have a 8Mp Telephoto which is Meh, and the phone itself is known to be far from a great shooter in general, unlike most people, I do really care about camera because I want to use not, not just to have big specs.
It doesn't have an IR port.
It is now outdated, and it is the same reason why I don't buy the Poco F2 Pro either (other than the lack of Telephoto), there is Bluetooth 5.2, improved sat nav, Wi-Fi 6E, etc.
And while I don't really care about BT 5.2, I do care about the rest.
I don't know how you single minded people think, but for me it isn't about a SINGLE feature that make me decide if I want a phone or not, I look at the whole picture, it isn't "pop up = buy".
But one thing for certain, I will clearly NOT stop to write those, in fact, everytime someone like you complain about it, I'll do it more, for multiple reasons that extend to far more useful purposes than trolling.
I never asked for the punch hole to be gone nor for the pop up to be in every phones, what I want is this thing called DIVERSITY, so yes, indeed, I do write those complains about those phones who are all the same and are big wasted potential, and of course I write about my favorite features as example of what could be done instead, beside, the article is LITERALLY asking if we want the phone or not, and I did answer that unless it has X and Y features, I won't buy it.
The comment session is LITERALLY there for this purpose, only easily offended people will find that a comment that have absolutely no impact on their life annoying, like, you could just NOT read it, unlike the fearmongers who killed the pop up by their constant lies about it, all those who are writing against the punch hole won't make it disappear.
Did I asked you what my tastes about display should be?
And I did already prove many time that the ABSOLUTE BEST is two notifications icons, most smaller take 3 icons away, and some can eat up to 5 notification icons easily.

This seems like a personal opinion if a bit ignorant but that's fine, no one's perfect.
You miss the fact that the X3 Pro and other similar flagship phones are more like concept-prototype products to test the market and not expected to make a ton of sale, that's why they're so expensive. Fact is that no company has been able to manufacture this kind of design yet so this is innovative and progressive, that's what makes us technologists and why we appreciate technology. You're a consumer so this phone is certainly not for you.

In every article, I see you complaining about punch holes. Just chill man. Punch holes are here to stay, most people are already used to it. It doesn't obstruct videos or gaming or any more screen real estate than one notification icon.

2) You can have a 1 billion time magnification if you want, the SENSOR and the LENSES are not the same and the sensor does NOT make the optical zoom.
3) A higher resolution (within reasonable limits, which 12Mp is perfectly within) is always better.
4) You were saying that optical magnification is outdated, and you are now saying a 60x magnification is awesome, WTF dude?
5) GSMArena clearly wrote 2x Telephoto.

Ok, so I haven't seen this video, but here are some things for you :
1) He probably talked about how good Ultra-Wide + Macro combo are, not the dedicated macro.
2) Those usually use massive resolution sensors, like the OnePlus 8 Pro with its 48Mp Ultra-Wide.
3) It isn't about being cool, optical zoom always was, is, and will ALWAYS STILL be VASTLY SUPERIOR to digital or hybrid zoom, there is a reason why pro keep buying Telephoto lens that cost more than this phone, and it relies on ridiculously high resolution sensors, like the 108Mp Samsung one, which isn't the best solution.
4) Macro can be combined with a Telephoto rather than with an Ultra-Wide or being dedicated, and it would be the best, the only thing a Telephoto need for that is a close focus capability as Macro usually have Telephoto range focal length.
5) The best dedicated Macro camera is the one in the Poco F2 Pro, who despite being 5Mp, which while being barely enough to give good quality, is basically special as it is ALSO a Telephoto, it was the only Tele-Macro, and other phones from Xiaomi had the same 5Mp Macro sensor on 1x Macro lens, so maybe you could start to understand the logic between Macro and Telephoto now.
6) Do you even realize that 12Mp sensors are cheap as heck nowaday, a good sensor can be found at prices ranging from 10$ to 20$, and putting an even better one for BOTH Telephoto and Macro is even better.
7) Many do want the Telephoto, there is a reason for that, almost everyone who know a bit about camera will always say that they prefer optical zoom over digital zoom, we don't care what you consider is cool or not, we do want a Telephoto, there are already plenty of phones that didn't have one for you to choose.
