Headphones with smarts are a big deal, outnumbering smartwatches by a wide margin. Smart bands declined in popularity.

    -) to show off how loaded u r (even though it's not ur money, but dad's)
    -) to show that u also have the same thing celebrity use
    -) to show that u r one of the 'cool kids' in the block
    -) to show that u have iphone (and not the cheap SE or refurbished ones, ofc)
    -) to show that u r one of the 'cool guy' who often go to gym.
    -) to show that u r one of the 'cool businessman' who play with ur watch during meeting
    -) to show that u r one of the 'cool tech-guy' who knows cool gadgets
    -) to show that u keep up-to-date with the latest trend

    p.s. the CEO of my company STILL use Rolex, so the 'real deal' is actually not that easy to fall victim to marketing BS

        Everyone knows Apple does a pretty darn good job keeping their legacy devices up to date and current through software updates....my iPhone 6s Plus runs ios 14 better than my Xs.....My Apple Watch series 1 runs flawlessly...near perfect.... however my Series 3 Appke Watch is having silly little glitches. I am noticing my buddies series 5 is having the same glitches......Ultimately, Apple Watch OS Software needs to get on par with iOS.....

            U said Android 'bots' bash Apple when SINCE 2009, when the first commercial Android phone launched, it's Apple & Nokia who bashed Android as 'impossible to success OS' while iOS 2.2, when Android 1.5 Cupcake released, didn't even have basic features like 'Copy, Cut, Paste' function (added 2 months later after Cupcake released when Apple introduced iphone 3GS with iOS 3.0), no Video RECORDING features (believed it or not, early iOS are DUMBER than 'dumb' feature phone; again, only introduced 2 months after Cupcake release, when iphone 3GS with iOS 3.0 released), and the need of itunes just to transfer Audio (what do u expect from phone with handicapped Bluetooth? when 'dumb' feature phone has 'working' Bluetooth that can transfer files, & has 'plug-n-play' features since 2007!)

            In short, iTrolls fit the idiom 'pot calling the kettle black' like a glove!

I would use it for sport, paying with Apple Pay and looking notifications easier and maybe for other stuffs which i can’t know because i haven’t used it. If you think how low Apple Watch sales first were, it looks like people have found the use for it over the years because every year sales been going up and up.

                      Well, on the other hand, perhaps it's not something for me. I dont even like wearing clocks or something else on my wrist.

                        Well done Apple, another hit device. Others smartwatches are selling poorly because most Android phones sold are cheap phones and owners of those are very unlikely to buy smartwatches which cost more than their phones.
