Yea right! Apple reported the same chip shortage and still launched iPhone 12.
They perhaps don't have anything new to launch/add to the next Note gen. Or they may be considering to end the Note line.

This is horrible news for me as a launch Note8 user who would have wanted to finally get an upgrade. I would get a S21 Ultra but I prefer phones with sharper corners and as it stands only the Note series and Xperia 1 series have flagship specs and sharp corners.

I'm fine with this seeing the Note22Ultra it'll be a wonderful handset.
Meanwhile I wish Samsung would make a Note21FE for August 2021 I'd except that truthfully it'll be something different.
Either way Samsung dropped the ball thinking the S21Ultra with that silly Spen would even matter I'm glad sales were poor for the S21Ultra.
My Note20Ultra 5G, TabS7Plus 5G, and Note10Plus will definitely hold me over till the Note22Ultra in August 2022.

There will be s22 ultra in 2022, with s pen support, udc, new chipset, amd gpu, etc. So will note 21 with exynos 2100 make any sense then?

Actually it is fine for them to release a new Galaxy Note every other year, since there isn't much to improve in terms of hardware (except battery and charging speed)

Is a good move also for the fact that AMD GPU will be in it instead of Mali GPU for the Exynos variant.

For me personally it isn't a bad thing at all. I'm fine sticking with my Note8 till next year. Then after 5 years it's due for an upgrade, so it would be good timing if the Note 21 or Note 22 will be around the corner.

It's better for the final product anyway.
Rushing to launch a product so soon can always lead to different problems in either software or hardware part.
Take extra time to polish the products before launch so that everyone will be happy with their purchase instead.
This doesn't just apply to Samsung, but basically to everybody else as well.
In any given case, I think it would be better if I just get frustrated with the long waiting time than to be seriously let down by a faulty unit due to rushing of the manufacturer to sell.

In 2022 there will be s22 ultra with udc, exynos 2200, amd gpu, etc. So will note 21 make any sense then if it has exynos 2100?

Brooo, i need an phone to upfrade from my Note FE. And i need an Note series with a pen inside the phone. Note 10 lite is gone, note 20 Ultra has weak battery. I need an proper note successor, i don't mind an Note 21 Fe
