Oppo Find X3 Pro starts receiving update, finally has 1 Hz-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate

18 March 2021
The panel supports it naturally, but Oppo shipped some units without the feature.

nanagdad, 18 Mar 2021Adaptive refresh rate on LTPO Pure gimmick Just like macro ... moreThe phone will automatically adjust the refresh rate based on the content w/o hampering your experience.

Also, all these fast charging techniques are overall detrimental to the battery life in one way or the other so, in the current scenario where batteries are now sealed, it makes little sense to keep the battery topped up that rapidly.

Good luck if the above doesn't help your opinion in any way.

Adaptive refresh rate on LTPO Pure gimmick Just like macro camera. I would rather have a higher refresh rate all round there's no need to worry about battery charging anxiety when you can charge your phone in 20 minutes & have 80 90% battery charge. Why would I buy a 120 Hz screen inorder to run it at 1 Hz that is ridiculous.

Anonymous, 18 Mar 2021Will you guys retest the battery life? It's quite disa... moreAgreed , it would be very interesting to see how much optimization on an LTPO screen would affect the battery life.
The current result of 81 point in the battery endurance is ridiculous for a 4.5Ah battery , the previous X3 pro with a fixed 120hz and a 4.3Ah battery managed to do better with a 88point score.

So, will you repeat the battery tests after this update?

Will you guys retest the battery life? It's quite disappointing at the moment. The adaptive refresh rate should help but don't know by how much.
