whats so great about the wear os . its only a watch why people make so big deal about the operation system . beside it would make more sense to develop your own os , not only it get you more money in the long run but it will makes you more independent from others .

Wtf!!!! No wear os??? Why bother then?? Is it going to be something like samsung watches? Already had a galaxy watche2 and a galaxy watch 3 and will never buy one again... That are much worst compared with my 4 years old LG watch with wear os. why bother to invent something different if it won't be as good as wear os.... What a disappointment.....

I agree with Rudy. It's such a disappointment that OnePlus is competing with AmazFit, Boat Watch and Mi Watch. It should've been competing with Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch Active 2.

OnePlus standards have never been lower. First the OnePlus Band and now another fitness tracking round dialed Oneplus Band (watch).

46mm... That's way too big 😧 hopefully this is wrong as it'd be targeted to only men with thick wrists lol.

If the watch battery is going to last for up to a week it's going to be a fairly "dumb" smartwatch? I use my wearOS watch to check notifications from Messages, WhatsApp, my Ring video camera, eBay etc, I also use the Strava and Spotify apps, I can't an RToS based watch having support for most of these apps given Tizen has never gained any support.

Unfortunately this means no google pay, just like the samsung smart watches. Here in the UK u can use your apple watch to pay anywhere, and tap and go on the underground and buses, even without your phone. Apple watch is still the only choice.

WearOS sucks . Most probably it's going to die anyway because it's not that useful for Google if it wants to spy on people . Not only it's going to drain battery quickly but it would also comprise its reputation when it comes to privacy.

Such a shame, although WearOS uses more battery, using a 4100+ would help, & much more apps & more watch faces with WearOS, also 46mm is MASSIVE think OnePlus made a mistake on size (if only size) & OS here.

With no wear os that can be a problem.

46mm too big for most. Seems like WearOS is a dead thing now with only Fossil group supporting it. Hope they don't make the same mistake as Huawei and launch a new platform with no 3rd party app support though.

After what happened with Huawei , I really don't blame them if they don't want to stick with Google's Wear OS. After all It's not as essential as android anyway.

                                      good , no wear bloat

Very good that it will not run WearOS. Smartwatch should be companion of phone not its replacement, it should be there for showing notifications, gathering fitness data and have basic options like customization, music controls and typical stuff like timer calendar etc.

No one need power hungry OS that try too much and drain battery after two days. I know lots of people with iWatch or WearOS that dont use anything on their watches because they dont want to lose battery charge and still need to plug it everyday. When my cheap smartband do everything and I charge it every 10-15 days
