I'd be perfectly happy with a smaller but thicker device, don't get me wrong I enjoy my Xperia 1 ii display, but sometimes I just feel phones are too big.

Holy crap, this is actually amazing. Hopefully the Mini won't suffer from downgraded specs too much. Smaller battery is fine, but for example a worse camera would be unacceptable.

If i mean smaller phones i mean the dimension of how tall and how wide it it. Thickness can be even up to 12mm i dont much care for it as long as it be small phone. If it be like 12mm think it can have that 4000-5000mAh battery in it while would be good to have something 5.5 inch screen that is around 135mm tall and 65mm wide as most maximum. If it's 12mm thick it can even have wireless charger built in as thats like 0.5mm think at most. 3.5mm jack is a must have too and while it be 123mm think it can have a single or dual camera that dont have the dumb bump in the rear.

Now the market is full of these large screen phones so what is it for people who dont like these compact phones ? Like what is it for you when your not the market anyways. You have 100 different choice from each brand for your phablets so why would you cry about it when there are people who need a phone that is compact and dont do there work on the phone ever or use it for anything that needs larger screen

The Zenphone 7 was a very pleasant surprise in 2020, I hope ASUS continues this line and doing their own thing

Unfortunately compact phones will remain niche product targeted to rich people. For the rest - Nokia 5.4 - HD resolution shovel with 3 years old chipset.

Asus I expect you to put 3.5mm jack since we saw it on ROG 5.
