Anonymous, 18 Mar 2021This exactly. These low 7XX old snapdragon chips have obsol... moreGod knows when Realme will use that chipset. And it's 5G chipset. Realme has mentioned already 5G phones will cost above 300USD. Mi10i makes sense in that regard. Snapdragon 750G and snapdragon 765G are quiet old chipset. Smartphones powering these two chipsets should come under 300USD for 6+128 variant.

Mikeromeoz, 18 Mar 2021So why does Mr. CEO has 108MP written on his twitter userna... moreGod knows. Realme 8 will have 64MP sensor only. Realme 8 Pro will have 108MP sensor. If you have Realme 7 Pro, then stick with it for another year and half.

Mikeromeoz, 18 Mar 2021So why does Mr. CEO has 108MP written on his twitter userna... moreThe Realme 8 Pro still using SD720G and very likely same 60Hz AMOLED since the marketing team been quiet about refresh rate. Design is also quite meh with big chin as shown by early unboxing by some reviewers. Looks like 108MP is the only selling point worth mentioning by the team.

Unfortunately for Realme, the Redmi Note 10 Pro already got 108MP and has improved image processing since Note 9 Pro. Realme 7 Pro's image processing has always been average at best, so would like to see how well it has improved. Regarding price hike, this is Realme we talking about here so expect price increase for the 8 series outside of India.

Anonymous, 18 Mar 2021Realme 8 is basically realme q2/q2 pro sold in china market... moreRealme is only doing well in India, not very well in other markets including China. You saying Realme is doing well because you are a Realme fanboy, but the fact is Realme only has about 2% share in China vs 13% Xiaomi. Add to that the latest Realme GT Antutu cheating, Realme's reputation will be going down.

So why does Mr. CEO has 108MP written on his twitter username? Is that really all the selling points the Realme 8 has to offer? All we heard is just 108MP, 108MP, when their direct competitor already has the exact same thing on their phones, except with none of that sort of marketing.

And what downgrades would this generation have to accomodate this new 108MP sensor? Last time, they traded the telephoto lens for an AMOLED screen (not even a very good one at that) and yet still require a price increase.

Buy Realme 8 Pro at 15999 only for 6+128. Otherwise skip it. It doesn't even deserve to be there.

                  these fakeme guys are pathetic

Anonymous, 18 Mar 2021Since the Madhav has been silent about high refresh screen,... moreRealme 8 is basically realme q2/q2 pro sold in china market. In china many redmi fans become realme fans, light weight body, amoled screen, quick charge, easy to buy, repair and replace battery every city. Are xiaomi still going fine oversea market?

The 50w charging should have at least powered a 5Ah battery. I bet the 8 Pro will get a 4.5Ah battery. Too bad the vanilla 8 gets a 5Ah battery, but slower charging.

how about they actually provide better processing for their cameras... instead of these 108mp sensors...

also, instead of the 9-in-1 binning, it's very very much better to have a common 4-in-1 binning instead for higher resolution and quality photos. 27>12

in their realme 9 series, it better be a dual camera setup on the rear instead. main and ultrawide, instead of the other two sensors that literally don't help in the image processing. throw away the marketing, get to practicality instead. heck, they might even save $5 or $10 on those cheap 2mp sensors and lower the price of the phone itself.

Anonymous, 18 Mar 2021Xiaomi and Scamsung are gonna have a hard time Neh, Samsung is ok with their mid-range phpnes especially the 3rd generation of A series which was just released. Xiaomi on the other hand is pretty insane and serious with their mid-range. Take an example from Poco X3 and Redmi 10 series

Summary: Realme 8 will be the same as the Realme 7, only the 90Hz LCD got swapped with 60Hz AMOLED. Realme 8 Pro is also the same as the 7 Pro, only the AMOLED is 90Hz and camera 108MP.

Same processor, same battery size and same design (but with big "Dare to leap" slogan at the back).
