The reason is that they don't allow User outside of China to sign up with an account (China phone# required & there is no other option like email sign up) so you can then use the Air Triggers. Very very bad experience with the software. And finally, I couldn't take it anymore & get a ROG 3 instead. What a nightmare.

Previous owners of black shark 1,2,3,3pro, 3s regretting their purchased so badly. No expanda storage, software updates almost non existent, official firmwares very buggy, NEVER RELEASED OPEN SOURCE. Now their releasing the new Bullshit 4. Hope the world learned and hope bloggers/reviewers will address this points and don't drag their viewers to a nightmare for their money.

Blackshark sucks in the software level! it has poor support for updates as well as buggy software interface! It is not worth buying anymore. even in home brewing OS no one ever bothers getting it. and now the new BS4 is lackluster. Red magic has better updates than Blackshark. so if you are planning to buy a gaming phone better opt for the ROG, REDMAGIC, or ever the ASUS LEGION, NEVER BUY BLAKSHARK! this phone sucks! the company also doesnt care about updates nor customer satisfaction!

Yet another enthusiast brand that disappoints... I own the Black Shark 3 and it's an absolute beast. It's well designed and built like a tank. It's heavy and solid and unique... And I was really hoping they would bring something new and interesting to the table but alas it doesn't look to be the case here. I'm really curious, what design department looks at the Black Shark 3 and 3 pro and goes - "Nah, scratch that. We're just going to make another glass and metal sandwich lake everyone else and call it a day."??? Are these people on drugs? Or maybe, they were on drugs before and have decided to quit now, in which case they should get right back on them as bad as that may be.
Or maybe it's the pandemic's fault? Who knows...
I got my Black Shark 3 recently so I'm going to sit this one out and hope for something different to come with the next model.

now rocking blackshark 3 and sold my iphone xr 1 week after receiving blackshark 3
pubg mobile player here. the only thing I dislike is the weight, 222 gr is too much with super high gyro sensi on pubg mobile, or maybe im getting old haha

Soo..., 22 Mar 2021I didn't matter about the punch hole, come on Boy, Its... moreThe good old bezel that allow to have much more sensors and a true front firing speaker, is ALSO "not that bad", in fact it is THE best solution, and there is already more than enough phones with punch holes available everywhere.
In fact, the only other solution than bezel, pop up, flip up, and slider that would be logical with a gaming smartphone would be simply no front camera.
A gaming phone with a good main camera setup (Good main sensor and Ultra-Wide + Periscope Telephoto) still make more sense than a gaming phone with a front camera.
The typical gaming phone user isn't the selfie addict one.
No front camera = no problems.

A small battery for the same of fast charging is as stupid anyway, anyone who play games during commutes or other long period without access to a plug might simply take the ROG 5 instead.
