you said it yourself, the v40 feels like a flagship, which mean it isn't one.
the mate 30 pro on the other hand is a very expensive flagship with a powerhouse of chip, so of course you could tell that the v40 is worse.

dimensity 800U not a good option. i own a mate30pro (kirin990) and a HonorV40(dimensity1000+) i can tell the kirin is alot better, run cooler, better battery life and the most important part connectivity is more stable while playing games. dont get me wrong the v40 feels like a flagship phone, but dimensity not good enought to me.
