nanagdad, 24 Mar 2021Oneplus has adopted the Xiaomi update policy of leaving old... moreThis is sooo true and sooo Xiaomi!!! It's very annoying and unfair for older phones with similar specs to the newest ones to still carry their bugs until they force us to buy a newer model where only software is a bit better and then the same story goes on and on.
A typical marketing policy which we got sick from.
What is very noticeable here on OP phone cameras is that on the cheaper one OP 9 they have increased the noise reduction too much, it probably takes less frames for smart HDR and there is no sharpening on purpose so the photo looks like it has less details and worse quality than the OP 9 Pro especially at night while in fact this is mostly software trick and both phones can offer the same results but nope there has to be something to make it worth it for the more expensive version.
Even with worse sensors once having a very good camera app like gcam any phone can take great photos nowadays with crazy details so there is no excuse in 2021 to still see photos looking like watercolor paintings.

And you are right- Some people should think ( why a company releases an update within 24 hours of unveiling every time)

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2021It takes time to manufacture and package a phone meaningsom... morewhich is also a good sign that software department continued to check for bugs and patching the system. software is like that, Dev aren't able to always test for everything

Oneplus has adopted the Xiaomi update policy of leaving old users hanging & pushing bugs in updates to force customers to buy new phones but I wouldn't buy any future phone release after a bad experience. I for one won't stick around, this company will go under like LG HTC... The only reason people buy these phones is to install custom ROMS like pixel, havoc, lineage for their easy bootloader unlocking not for the current oxygen OS which is different from the original Oxygen OS of past years. But with them locking up gcam & their software people will look somewhere else

Der last gen phones hv lot of bugs with updates n that wasn't early software updates or beta.
This company's software support sucks big tym n we can confidently tell this as being op users.
Der high-end 2019 flagship op 7 pro which I'm using stuck on December security patch nd waiting to get always on display update since the launch of dis device.

                    Adaptive refresh rate causes startles when jumping between refresh rates 1 to 50 to 100 to 120 Hz saw it when it first came with poco same here with oneplus. It's sad really you can't lock a refresh rate if you don't care much about battery saving considering how fast you can charge battery. Saving battery at the expense of performance it's not for me. The display section of this phone should have had 4 options;

                    1. Adaptive
                    2. 120 Hz locked
                    3. 90 Hz locked
                    4. 60 Hz locked to those who will want it

But these options are not there sad really for a flagship

Yeah.. We know an update will come before it ships to customers and keep them live & running on NEWS sections..!! 😊

The shadows of OnePlus 9 pro pictures are too dark doesn't show much details in the shadows.

This will be epic failure. India(One Plus) didn't have great sales because of ridiculous pricing after One Plus 7 series. One Plus 9R should have priced a lot less than 550USD.

In India people only want flagship chip at lowest possible price n that's made many blind fans of oneplus n Xiaomi. Though Xiaomi really justifies it's price tag. But oneplus is fully flagship now but I will nvr consider der phones for such high price after using d oneplus 7pro.
For me it's only Samsung, Apple and Huawei for high-end phone.

Will you guys try this latest update and update your review (that is if there's any difference)?

the update is for the stuttering on the display

atleast according to MKBHD with his unit

                                        Finally! Let's have a fun!
