Best chip ever made M1. A14X will be a beast for sure. But what gets me excited is the thunderbolt possibility, more bandwidth for display and storage.
But i guess we need to wait till June, and see the iPadOS / MacOS updates. So they can add have multi display, egpu and so on.

The Edge browser is quite slow even in a midrange laptop. Sold my Acer Aspire laptop (with i5-6200U and UHD 610, 4GB SSD) and replaced it with a 2nd hand Macbook Pro 2018 (4x TB3) from Marketplace. Really satisfied with the performance, very few bugs. Excellent touchbar too.

Windows utilizes the Ryzen or Intel cores very efficiently, performance and productivity wise.
IPad OS is just not there.... Not at the same level.
One can even run an iPad OS or Android emulator on the Windows machine and get the same experience. Let that sink in!!!

Similar to the A14 which gets handicapped by iOS.
A lower performance chip running Windows will provide much more productivity than iPad OS coupled with M1 based chip.

DPlus, 24 Mar 2021I hope they change screen aspect ratio by 16:9You can stop hoping, won’t never happen as they already have right aspect ratio for tablet use. 16:9 would only be better for watching videos and movies. Overall 4:3 is lot better for many different tasks.
4:3 also feels great both in portrait and landscape
