Woohoo, 25 Mar 2021Do u live in India? And if yes, do u have xp of importing g... moreWouldn't recommend it if you're doing it on your lonesome, especially if you reside in India since the customs and import department is a red tape mess here unless you have contacts inside and expertise.

It's worse in the case of phones, since Chinese ROMs will need some care to flash over. Otherwise you might be screwed if you brick the phone and the local service center does not want to / does not have the parts or know-hows to fix the device.

In comparison importing a phone is easier if you are residing in somewhere like the EU. In India you need to be adventurous to spend more than 11k on something and hope it reaches your doorstep, without involving a bona fide vendor who has an import-export license and experience in the sector.

People want it to launch in india to later rant it is overpriced

I am also wanting to import electronics for a long time, but the ambiguity (lack of proper research on my part as well) has stopped me so far.

If not, I'd get my hands on it by importing it either ways. Price is not a problem If the product is worth it.
