Maybe back when they had beats audio branded phones, that niche is dead since 2015, no one wants a HTC these days with their outdated designs and grossly overpriced VR hardware? Get out. And LG is way too busy making TVs and industrial hardware to a point where LG has given up so many innovations it's ridiculous. They hang on the forefront of technology, made some of the first 3D-phones, LG flex with curved screen, dual screen foldable you name it...all abandoned by them and now LG is literally going out of business with their smartphone division! YES, both of them technically still sell phones but those companies are trashed and their products generate no hype anymore = dead in the water.

And whose fault is that? Those companies can only blame themselves for the situation they are currently in.
At least HTC and LG are no longer a "respectable" smartphone brand for obvious reasons, and now definitely more in the "questionable" category in terms of the after sales support and the actual product quality.

People wanted a cheap alternative and now the cheap alternative companies are just as expensive as the original flagship bearers.... my theory goes deeper but that's for another time.

Anyway, he is a competent reviewer.

Nice to see everything in the package, but at such a price point they could rather include Freebuds. That might make some people reconsider.

The design is much better than tha... moreJust wait for a few years and you'll see those complaints slowly disappear as more and more companies adopt the inward folding design. The same stuff happened when the first iPhone was announced and Android OEMs start taking cues from its design, we've been there before.

[deleted post]According to your logic, the samsung zflip sould be a moto raze clone. Plus, the design of the mate x2 is different from fold2(except for the fact that both are inward folding design), it has a wedge shape body and doesn’t leave a gap when closed. And the outer screen is a lot more usable.

The design is much better than that of the fold 2, the external screen is actually usable and it folds flat without leaving gaps and looks like a normal phone. Also, the fold 2 doesn’t have a wedge shape design.
