I really wanted the OnePlus watch to be something worth buying compared to the competition. But it's not.
The battery is great. But The price is just high enough that most might prefer to buy established devices.

Consider the Fitbit Versa 3 from one year ago. Both Fitbit Versa 3 and OnePlus watch features and price are pretty close. But the Versa offers more already. It supports spotify. Google assistant and Alexa. The OnePlus support might come with it but this is yet another platform with very few details about it.

Competitors like Fitbit, Samsung haven't announced their 2021 smartwatches.
And they will surely be at least a bit better than last year. So what's the point of the OnePlus watch?

OnePlus Watch is a OnePlus fan/early adopter smartwatch. For a niche market.

This is a first gen product from a company that is trying to spread into other markets but is still building its experience.
Do you really want to beta test it?

Don't worry about the $20, it is a watch not worth having, there are so many of an equal spec, the market if flooded in this product range. All the BBK electronics watches are 'more or less' of the same spec.

a lot users on here saying the watch is too much in price. Just say you're broke and cant afford it. I have a Fossil Gen 5 which was much higher in price and the battery is awful. I will be planning on getting this OnePlus Watch. its a good price

I like the fact that the front glass doesn't have any marking that make it look cheap or do interfere with some watchfaces designs.
But the lack of a NFC is a major turn off for me.

Quite unattractive price, like the new OnePlus 9 phones. I got a Samsung Active Watch 2 for 130 bucks recently and I am very happy with it. It even works with my iPhone. :)

And if you wait another day, it will be $20 cheaper...

Because it's a run of the mill, "who cares" watch. Too expensive at retail for what it is.

You forgot to mention how many Watch Faces it has or can be downloaded.

I am planning yo get this Chinese stuff..
