iPhone 5 does not use microUSB! Instead it, they plan to put in package some (once again) adapter cable.
BUT THIS WAS NOT EU REGULATION IDEA!!!
Idea was, that there will be only one standard charger connector and others Samsung, HTC, LG, NOKIA made their phone by this law.
I think that this will be easy case to ban iPhone for EU market because they are thinking that they are over the others! Ha-haa-haaa!!!

Wait.. They're planning on attacking Android Jellybean's core functionality. I genuinely hope the people at Apple really know what their doing (I mean, since the genius that was running the place is now dead, my hopes aren't too high).
This isn't an exaggeration, Motorola has enough patents to sue everyone (at least at a licencing level) and win (More or less).
They have a technology pedigree that's really beyond comparison (They created cellular phones and most of the protocols that govern them). They are a real deal R&D company. I'm not too sure that its a smart thing to attack Google directly seeing as they own Motorola and can if they wanted, sue the entire world so to speak..
Choosing to play that card is like opening a box of chocolates "You never know what your're gonna get".
And i'm not sure Apple is going to be at all pleased with what they find.. R.I.P in advance..

I say good on Samsung, Apple patents slabs with screens and these manufactures patent wireless communications. To be fair the amount of investment in LTE far far far exceeds that of icons and a brick with a screen.
Again goes to show how much Apple freeloads off of other people technologies. They got turned down due to 3G being a “standard” wireless communication yet a brick with a screen is not standard? WTF lucy have you lost your marbles!! LTE is not a wireless standard and many companies invested billions of dollars then Apple comes along and freeloads off them. Yeah they deserve everything they get!

Samsung are a truly pathetic copycat company who have no chance against Apple.. All they will get for their trouble will be a hefty legal bill and a generous portion of humble pie. Even if they did manage to get a ban on the iPhone 5, I'd rather stick with an older iPhone than buy one of Samsung's cheap bits of plastic Galaxy sissy 3s.. Face it Samsung geeks, we are on the eve of witnessing Apple crushing their own sales records with the iPhone 5 and leaving all of the competition for dust.. My prediction for the near future: five years from now Apple will buy Samsung, close them down, and convert their offices into their ping pong rooms.

in terms of software power and capability.. apple and microsoft are Software Giants!!! google is like a dried up turdddd in front of them.

Again and again !!! Both don't deserve the title of leader, iphone is less than 6 years of age and pretend to own most patents that already exist since more than 10 years, if Nokia start suing, both will have to pay billions ! Where's the fairplay? why fighting like a kid for some 1 to 5 millions when they already own more than 10 billions. such a shame........

dominic, 20 Sep 2012are you on drugs??? samsung has filed more law suits then a... moreonly one country was where apple won is where the patent office literally sits on apple lap ...all other countries across the world the application was not valid check your knowledge before you start talking ...the iphone may have been innovative phone when launched now is just the most marketed product ...i am not a person who likes samsung but i would prefer a samsung over apple any day of the month and twice on weekday...people need to understand that dont just talk crap...samsung has the right to defend itself ...i personally would prefer a 820 or 920 lumia phones than anything else

Apple will get sued by all the major mobile manufactures over LTE. HTC have already begun, Motorola and Nokia will follow soon and obviously Samsung. These are the companies that developed and sponsored 3G and 4G LTE. Samsung owns 10% of the global patents. And as LTE is not currently covered by FRAND Apples use of this technology requires a payment.
