Fearghast, 27 Mar 2021I am not happy, it's my mothers-in-law for a long time... moreikr, but it has great choice of custom roms. My roomate had it, before he switched to Poco X3 last year.
I wished they released more budget phones. The first device was ok. Then second, M2 Pro had Gorilla Glass 6 in front, which is not seen even today in this price bracket. But then Xiaomi is really aggressive in this price bracket now, itshard for anyone to compete. But one thing I'm sure, YouTube reviewers will fully support a M3 pro if it every comes.

Back then had a discount in it, otherwise I would buy something like Xiaomi and receive updates till this day.

My ASUS Zenphone Max pro stopped functioning all of a sudden. My visit to service centre available in their site was futile as they have shifted or closed for ever. I got it functional from another service centre. Now I am not receiving any updates. I am throughly dissatisfied with their after sales service. Wont suggest ASUS to anyone

My last ASUS phone will be my Max Pro M2. Never again, ASUS. No major update, bloated batteries, low battery life, no support, screen protection is so vulnerable though its Corning Gorilla 6, cheap build. DO NOT BUY ASUS SMARTPHONES!

And here I am with my Max Pro M2 on Android 9 Pie for 2 years. No more updates. Totally forgotten by ASUS.

It got it In beginning of November 2019. There's Reddit forums on 5th November on how to downgrade from Android 10 to 9 and that's the worldwide variant
XDA. 9to5google and GSM all reported on 4th November that Asus has rolled out the global update of android 10

I was iffy about getting the ZenFone 6 because of what Asus was like with updates and UI but it's like they've fired and hired a new team. ZenFone 6 got Android 10 2 months after 10 came out . ZenFone 6 got Android 11 in the first week of 2021. Considering smartphones isn't their main market, I think they're doing pretty well

Man the whiners in here the zenfone 6 got its A11 update around the end of the year, and zenfone 7 now in march.
Yeah it's not as fast as the old pixels.-.but it's damn not a lot slower even than oneplus exactly.. "public beta oxygen" isnt a firm release..

Zenfone 6 got priority over 7 because it was released in more markets, while 7 only got released in Europe and Taiwan, so less priority for it.

So they released the update for the Zenfone 6 series before the 7 series, different update priority, I see.
