2nd, it was a Kodak engr that invented the first digital camera, not Eastman Kodak himself.
3rd they did not refuse to ' sell ' digital camera, but the word you are looking for would be "promote" . They actual are the first one to offer the very first DLSR. They focus on the film and traditional cameras, rather than putting more on their digital ones.

Let's see until in order a smartphone with this Dimensity 1200, it should be very interesting for presenting improvements over the Dimensity 1000 Plus, snapdragon 870 is a good processor, but uses cortex A77, and has 7nn architecture, already this chip features A78 of 6nn, better energy efficiency

Go to Snapdragon wiki, u can see that the ONLY thing QC upgrade the SD870 over SD865+ is the CPU's Prime core overclock (from 3.1GHz > 3.2GHz).
Other thing are the same, EXCEPT THE MODEM; QC DOWNGRADED the FastConnect 6900 > FastConnect 6800 which means a lot (older Bluetooth 5 version, outdated Wifi support)

870... moreadditionally, u have to remember SD865 use Cortex A77 while D1100/1200 use Cortex A78; newer cores lead to better CPU raw performace, albeit lower clocked, as well better battery usage.
I admit that the reused of Mali G77 in D1100/1200 is disappointing, but last year's G77 is no slouch, as long as they put decent cores & higher clocked it.

SD870 is just 'rebrand' of SD865+, which is just an overclocked of SD865.
Sigh, why r all of Qualcomm fanbois always overestimate their fav SD & always mocked Dimensity, Kirin, even Exynos when the benchmark score doesn't give anything other than bragging rights.
See SD810? In 2015, many OEMs choose to get it instead of MediaTek or Exynos, and it was disaster; this year's SD888 is going to be the same, the performance gains are incomparably smaller compared to the jump the heat it produced
This is incredibly foolish as smartphone & tablet, unlike laptop, cannot afford active cooling.
The reason why OEM introduced external active cooling for gaming smartphone are 2: because customers wants Qualcomm products, albeit riddled with overheat, and they have no choice except Qualcomm, as Mediatek & Exynos was stigmatized as 'crap', while Kirin is in limbo state after Murica's embargo
