KR, 07 Apr 2021Crazy pricing They are charging this exorbitant price because they can. The only way to discourage the vendors from this practice is not to buy their product immediately, but after a few months. Personally I don't see the point to spend this much right after the availability as the device will be rendered obsolete within 4 years when vendor would cease to push updates. Adding an insult to the injury, those updates might not be frequent during the support period. I'll get Xiomi 10 Ultra now..probably. The price is now reasonable in China.

However, the problem ... moreThere was no certification back in the Pro 6 Plus days but the phones with 15 and 16 in the name are certified I think as is global firmware for then. The 17 ones I don't know as there is no global firmware on their website, same with the 18 ones, but they have been a success in China so may get global versions and most probably will then be certified by Google.

Sure, google play is easy to install. However, the problem with phones from Meizu is that several apps do now work due to their phones lacking google services certification. I had Meizu 16T. It was a really nice phone but android auto did not work and several other apps stopped working after a while.

Hardly anyone will be interested in this phone outside of China. At that price with no GMS? And please, don't talk about aurora or nanodroid, I've used it, it's not for anyone. Not everyone would want to "hack" gms into this phone, especially if it's not one click installer. Their future is dead in the water outside China, just like Huawei's fate.

If i want a hand size phone without google services i can have the p series From huawei, and it will be for a lower price.

I used Meizu once. Never again
Hardware is good, the software is full of malware and sends data to Meizu/China
My recommendation:
Open your eyes and protect your privacy (personal data). There's F-Droid and the Apk Aurora store.
Nobody needs Google play store !.
