SSDs are better, but I am not too sure you can swap it as Dell laptops tend to not have too much customisability. If you can swap out the RAM module, try DDR4 at least. Also check the fans. And i7 does not guarantee it’s a very fast laptop if it is the early versions.

Bigmeme, 31 Mar 2021This has top quality samsung E4 OLEDE4 is just a generational designation not a quality label. It's made for a Chinese market breakthrough since Chinese ODMs are using locally sourced pentile OLED panels. Putting OLED on a laptop requires proper controllers and modifications so it can last half a decade or more. There is a reason why OLED computer monitors are expensive and it has nothing to do with the size of the screen. I wouldn't believe Xiaomi to implement OLED screen on their first try for $1000 without any significant cutbacks.

Makes movement smooth. IPS, OLED, VA, TN - as long as it's 120 Hz or faster, there will be a definite improvement in smoothness. Especially when gaming, or well... Even browsing the web. Everything benefits from having a fast panel. :)

sq2013, 31 Mar 2021I have swapped out the HDD, put in new ram, a new WiFi card... moreTry cleaning CPU fan and thermal vents. It's very common to get it blocked by dust leading to overheating and slowing and in some cases shutdown of laptop. If possible, apply new thermal paste too.
