Is this why iPhone 5 sold only 2m in pre-orders vs. 10m in pre-order for Galaxy S3?

You should blame this the contract manufaturer Foxxcon for this issue and not Apple.
Apple should change contract manufacturer to achieve product perfection.

vincent, 23 Sep 2012maybe you should tell those iphone fanboy when they say sam... moreHow can we when the hard core Apple fans will insist that cars be made from glass and aluminum (if Apple made cars) for that shiny bling bling premium look? Ironically, the only thing you see on those cars would be huge Apple logo, headlights and windshields as rest of the car needs to be protected by a thick protective cover...

Is Apple copying Microsoft? Every release takes at least few iterations to "work" properly?
Or is it a feature rather than a defect, especially in the context of being fashionable and trendy. That is, is it promoting retro/worn look like in jeans?

ip5 is using aluminum for the chassis because it's a light weight material. that's the reason why ip5 is light weight.
however, aluminum is soft and malleable. it is prone to denting, chipping and scraping. once the ip5 body is scraped, it will need replacement.
aluminum is cheap when it's raw. but who knows how much it will cost to replace the chassis.

What does it matter? iPhone needs a thick protective cover anyway to carry it around without breaking or scratching. In fact, color does not matter either as it's buried inside a thick protective cover anyway. Not surprised at all that this did not change from the previous versions.

Other manufacturers should be careful. Apple might sue them if their phones gets easily dented and scratched.

Cocky & Karma, 23 Sep 2012Well, that's just to show how 'cocky' apple; they don't wan... more apple just release their own version of the map/iLost.
That is incorrect. apple never make their own map, they just use and work with tomtom map.
