Not to mention great Aperture Mode, obviously better Night Mode than both 1ii & 5ii, Auto in low light are miles better because of RYYB. Xperia better in color reproduction only. But colors easily fix using HSL management.
While I appreciate 20fps with AE & AF, Photo Pro cant do much as it works just like big camera sensor without realizing a bit of computational photography is needed due to hardware limitation. If u go to XDA forum on 1ii and 5ii thread, lots of complaining about its camera quality, especially from people that use P30 before.

Look, a 3.5mm jack. An ancient feature that, surprisingly, does not stop Bluetooth headsets from working.

DQ, 05 Apr 2021If you have never used an Xperia with side fingerprint scan... moreI just made a HUGE comment explaining exactly what you seem to forget :
https://www.gsmarena.com/newscomm-48517.php#2282294
TL;DR : There are a lot of ways to hold a phone, some work great with flat display, other with curved edge, and the front, in-display, side, and back fingerprint reader placement is not just a matter of choice but of how one hold his/her phone.
And for me, it is in the display, that's where I prefer my finger to be even if currently I use the power button to trigger the face unlock of my OnePlus 6t (its FPS is slow as heck).
Also, when I do put my phone down and want to just quickly unlock it, or more relevant when the phone is in a car holder, only front FPS make sense for me.
Also side fingerprint scanner has an issue, it only can take so much of a fingerprint, combined with this obsession of super thin phone it is even worse, you want to read as much of the fingerprint as possible, and as long as a "swipe your finger" feature get developed for side fingerprint scanner, they are the less secure capacitive option.
While you almost surely will put your finger on your display if you unlock your device anyway, and with Ultrasonic ones, which are better than Optical and Capacitive, there is the possibility to implement them on a huge area, maybe soon on the whole screen for not too big of a price, and since they work on a "tap" way, it would be the best to securely and casually unlock a phone by literally using it (can work with Pattern, Pin and Password, but also if the phone unlock first into a low security access mode until authentication) and the continuous/regular authentication idea.

DickWang, 06 Apr 2021Love how there's no fugly hole punch or notch.sam love the uniform look, the bezels are perfect too for holding without accidental touch and also allows for more sensors and such that cutouts have to do away with 🤷♂️

I don't know what all the fuzz about the selfie camera if... It's just a selfie camera, if you truly need a great vanity shot just turn the phone around...
I have the X5II coming from the original XZ and while the older had an awesome 13MP auto focus front facing camera, I never actually use it much for selfies... But I can tell you this "crappy" 8MP if very capable.
I do care a whole lot more about the main cameras, and those are very very good..
I'm glad Sony is keeping things that really matter to a lot of people, even if that doesn't translate into lots of sales...
3.5mm jack (I still have legacy stereos with aux in)
Micro SD card (I just bought a 256GB to go with my 256GB internal)
Balanced front facing speakers (great for movies and games)
Side fingerprint scanner (can be unlocked blindly by feeling with thumbs or index fingers)
Battery care solutions (Heat Suppression, charge limit, etc)

Unfortunately for Sony, there are not many like me, so not many potential customers either. Fortunately for me tho, Sony mobile perseveres, and has been "proving design simpletons and forum doomers wrong for over a decade, and counting..."

Oh, it seems that the 10 III will be again disappoint in cameras being a premium mid-ranger. Sure that the Vivo X60 Pro/ X50 Pro, Mi Note 10 and 11, etc, will stil be the top and cheaper.
Well, a few days to confirm the suspects.

RealLifePhones, 05 Apr 2021Design wise they are on a Galaxy S8 level 😂 stuck in 2017 l... moreOh please, Xperia 1 II's bezel is already smaller than the one that poses in the iPhone X/Xs/11/12 Series, and 1 III already shaves more, both bezels and the dimension itself, which proves Sony able to remove the bezels without sacrificing the main element.
