[deleted post]Keep bashing iOS and Apple. They just end up being the most sold phones year after year and Apple is just earning profits. Both android and iOS have been there for a long time now. But google can never solve android fragmentation and updates. Apple devices have longevity. iOS vs Android does not make sense anyomore

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2021Depends. It stays below 60Hz only when static images like ... moreWith static images it is capable of going down between 1Hz-10Hz and in ideo reproduction it locks at 30 or 60, no energy is wasted on anything, it consumes 5-15% less than Amoled and 20-30% IPS, although it maintains the same consumption , only with the introduction of 120Hz it would already be an advantage over the "normal" ones.

notafanboy, 07 Apr 2021QHD is a gimmick on small phone displays. No, it is not, when "small" devices have a 6.3 "screen, it has been shown that the eye can perceive 700 ppi at a distance of 25cms, when playing videos and games it would not bother me, but when reading quite notice the difference between 1080 and QHD

High adoption rate is good for the platform.

        Less malware since better security.
Less bugs because developer do not need to worry about old versions.
Faster because OS do not need to deal with deprecated code.

It proves the latest OS is stable and confidence for end users to update.

Indeed, that's the reason why iOS is so smooth and worry free. No matter how fowl the critics are. All iPhones and iPads are worthy, at their era and can be purchased or pre-ordered without worries. Unlike Androids or other phones.. which there are a possibility that it is bad or may explode.

I prefer iOS and iPhone than Android because iOS has some features that Android doesn't.

IOS is the worst and not optimized for HRR.
Android especially miui just glides like butter on HRR panels.

Maybe it's because iOS updates automatically by default and iOS apps stop working unless you have the latest version. Basically, Apple forces you to update to latest iOS even if you don't to.

Oh I can see this thread will shortly be degenerating into another of those tedious iOS v Android arguments. These are not new toys anymore people, they've both been around for more than a decade at this point, we've all likely made our choices by now. So lets just enjoy what we like, let others do the same, and accept the fact that you can never win an argument that doesn't ever end!

Oh and for the Android lot droning on about higher refresh as though it is some kind of technical holygrail, don't you realise that if it mattered to iOS fans so overwhelmingly much then they would simply make the switch.

But no, the sales evidence shows that whilst iOS users would probably like a higher refresh screen, they appear quite content to wait for it. I know I myself got over my own disappointment on hearing the 12 pro was still at 60Hz in about.... oh say a second or so before I bought one.

notafanboy, 07 Apr 2021120hz is a gimmick though. 90hz is nice but not necessary either.Actually 60Hz is not necessary either, with 30 would be enough, but when you pay for a high-end range, you are supposed to do it so that they give you the best specifications, not just what is necessary.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2021Lol. Android 5 has more features than upcoming 5 major upda... moreIt doesn't matter how many features it had decade ago when it's just outdated TODAY. There are so many Android phones out there with exploits and bugs and everyone has their entire lives on their phones, including finances. And they aren't getting a single update for it. And since major Android versions are sacked after 2 years on most devices, there is just no way it'll ever reach 90% adoption at any point.

90% of upgradeable devices are on iOS 14. It isn't compareable to Android, because Android get 25% of ALL Android devices on. It's like comparing benchmark between different platforms (for example Antutu on iOS and Android isn't the same app).
