To be honest I’m not a Chinese products hater, I have seen the Oppo Find C3 Neo for instance and I like how it looks, it’s just that single brand gets hyped so much and yet quality control is piss-poor.
In my home country I’ve seen a Mi 11 user getting a black spot on the OLED display out of the box, yet Xiaomi customer team refused to replace/repair the phone (there was a related FB post), same as a Poco F2 Pro won’t start also out of the box. Just a few examples, I’ve seen many Xiaomi phones failing as opposed to other brands, let alone BBK brand phones.
Good on you if your phone works. I have also seen a Redmi Note 10 durability test and the phone snaps like a cracker. Closest competitor Realme 8/8 Pro survived without catastrophic damage. Sorry Xiaomi.

Don't be ridiculous, it's pretty clear that one very low quality photo posted on a Chinese forum by some random user doesn't count as a proper evidence since there's not enough contexts given. I'd rather wait for JRE to upload his own test VIDEO instead.
Also be sure to try out the latest version of the MIUI before complaining about it. Coming from a OneUI/EMUI user, It's actually pretty good.

I do like the Mi 11 Ultra camera hardware though the Mi 11 Pro is not that far off. Mi 11i is exclusive to the Indian market, so that doesn't concern me at all. But Mi 11 Lite 5G? The upper midrange phone without the 3.5mm audio jack? That's an instant hard pass from me. Blasphemy is the only right word for it.

Comparing for the same price, Vivo have roughly the same CPU (speed) with Samsung but with better camera.
ViVO mid-range the V20/V21 camera is quite good for the price. V20 is $300.

Xiaomi is the most overrated brand so far. Cheap, good specs, but mediocre build quality on many models. The UI is also a laughable mess. Just watch the Redmi Note 10 bend like a cracker. Even Mi 11 Ultra fails the durability test.

The hm2 might be more suited to nighttime although the smaller sensor size is also a consideration. Both are good sensors but certainly not at the level of the current really top sensors like imx700 and gn2

Make your mind up. It's actually personal preference. If you look at raw hardware, the Xiaomi top end phones are benchmarking higher than the top Samsung phones and that's a fact too. Software can be a problem with Xiaomi phones but I rooted every Samsung I ever owned for the same reason because manufacture skins in general are full of adware and bloatware. Samsung app store.

Because the market for those device is too niche , small .
A good sensor module cost around $25 dollars and put it in a $200 mobile phone it's simply not economical feasible , like putting a V12 engine inside a Honda Fit and sell it for peanuts, you simply won't recoup the money, current android smartphone have a profit margin of around 5 to 13%

He's a heavy user and two years later he said that it's the best phone he's ever used and I keep telling him about the poco F3 and he says no need so clearly that previous poster was completely clueless about Xiaomi phones. My redmi note 8 pro is still flying along 16 months later.

Not all xiaomi phones are worse than all samsung phones, you cannot generalize based on just some of xiaomi phones
