Axon 30's hardware may be better than iPhone but you're not considering their strongest point "the unique software experience". I'm not saying iOS is better or anything, it's just being "unique" holds the key. Apple definitely understands that and leverage it by selling it at a premium price.
Now even though iPhone has inferior hardware especially in camera department, this phone won't be able to match them. So what's the point of hardware superiority?

I'm a Zte fan and the price is too high for that..only difference I might see from other cheaper Chinese's phone is the refresh rate, UDC and 55W charging...Am looking at about $650-$700

When Chinese deliver the same revolutionary tech: it's a gimmick, Chinese brands can't be trusted. Their Ui sucks, etc..

ZTE is a no name phone brand outside china. People also look at the brand while buying phones. So I doubt most people outside china will pay 1200 for a ZTE phone....even if it has an under display camera.
That said, 300 or even 500 dollars is too low price for these specs. They should price it at 999 if they want to sell well outside china.

For what is being offered 1200 is reasonable (yes because ZTE one expects a low price or rather get 'outraged' if at a relatively high price) compare that to Sammy and Iphee lol

While GSMA isn't a hive, recently it's acting like one. People just trash non-chinese brands while praising Chinese ones for everything.

Why are you guys giving special treatment to Chinese brands? All hell's break lose when Apple launch their phones at premium prices and somehow it's worth it when it comes from a Chinese brand.
Don't forget that Apple provide the very best after market services too, it's a premium brand for a reason. Their phones are expected to be more pricey as they provide unique experience.
I get Chinese phones which are value for money, but this one just dumb.

I think ZTE completely overpriced this, they'd be lucky to even sell evenough to make back the money they spent on this. I would put this at a max 950-1000, since it's not even 512 GB, which is a real shame. Besides that ZTE made a huge phone with a 'good' battery, they should've went a lot bigger, maybe 5000+ mAh. Good phone but poorly priced IMO.
