beep bop boop, 10 Apr 2021ColorOS? on a oneplus?Yes, OnePlus is going to use ColorOS on phones in China from now on instead of HydrogenOS, I guess it just makes things less complicated and is a cost-cutting measure since ColorOS is already a very China-centric OS, and it means that OnePlus will no longer have to update and sustain two operating systems and can focus their attention on OxygenOS.

The s20fe is a good bit more expensive in China (currently 3,869rmb versus a rumored 3,000 for the OP9r) but if they are around the same price where you live then yeah, the s20fe is a good option.

The Oneplus 9R will have better cameras and better band support probably. The k40 still can't be freely bought though outside flash sales. I tried to get it many times but couldn't. Gave up then and got a different phone instead. There is better value available the the Oneplus 9r alright but it's still not a bad option

              This filthy company launched india exclusive phone nd then going to make it available in home country too. Nd at lower price..
              But these crappy Chinese companies nvr launch best phones outside china n keeps them china exclusive.. or change specs when they make global.
              Mi n all bbk brands r same. All good things for China only.
              People should really beware of these frauds.

It didn't have enough features and Oneplus probably didn't want to spend the money and resources to develop these features. Makes sense for them to switch as Color OS is better tailored to suit Chinese consumers

Before Oxygen OS, price to performance ratio was greatest ever thing for buying One Plus device. Now that's not the reason anymore. One Plus devices are worthy of 500-600USD only. Not a single penny over that.

                      Lol. There's only one reason someone would buy a Oneplus phone and that's OxygenOS. And now they're getting rid of that too.
