I even checked his taskbar because he didn't set it to auto hide and even there i couldn't see any burn-in.

And smartphone manufactures are not using AMOLED panels because of Business. But they use it because of better quality and contrast and Always on Display function.
And on my new AMOLED smartphone the dark mode looks a lot better than on my LCD phone.

IpsDisplay, 10 Apr 2021And yes LCD does burn in with yellow markings which barely ... moreThere's no question about it. LCD is way more durable. It's cheaper for the end user, i.e, us. It's usually better for viewing in sunlight and some would say that it's more natural and realistic because the darkest blacks and the brightest whites are not as contrasting as on oled. It may not be as eye-catching as the colors really pop on amoled but they also look artificial and unrealistic really. Amoled has better viewing angles. The last amoled I owned was the mi 8 and while very eye-catching and it did stand out and was better, I preferred my pocophone F1 overall as a phone and the battery life felt way better on the pocophone F1. I actually regret my decision to buy the poco F3 and not the poco X3 pro. I think I got sucked into the whole amoled is great fad. It's definitely slightly better but the difference isn't even close to night and day and I would say I prefer LCDs overall.

Sometimes this takes decade plus to even happen

But of course there are scenarios where brand new panels defect and go yellow

Let's check the economics we have a technology that dies relatively quickly so that we can replace it and make profit

These 30000 and 20k hours tests are a joke , that not even close to the endurance of what LCD is capable of I'll patiently wait 5 years minimum and that's lowering the bar in OLED favour

And your sample size to credit OLED is too small and it is for the exact same TV brand and model is this an embargo/contracted form of review?? Why are there such similar videos so close to one another

The same OLED trolling we had on the phones 4 years back and now almost all premium phones have OLED panels for a reason.

For how much I hate AMOLED, I was happy thinking Samsung QLED could save my eyes, but alas, it seems its easier to them to produce a shit ton of oled screens

You have to read reviews and compare them yourself. Anyway, the HZ2000 doesn't support HDMI 2.1 inputs, and it has a higher input lag than LG OLED TVs. It has a relatively low input lag, but LG OLED TVs blow it out of the water.

Don't say burn in on oled isn't a problem anymore, resistance has increased for burn in but to even imply that it's "resolved" is outrageous

The mere fact that companies but in so many measures to reduce it is evidence that it's still a pressing problem, why have ABL why have heatsinks, why have screen cycling?????

Also your personal preference for OLED has nothing to do with the development of LCD to come

There is one thing I don't like about OLED that is the ABL on my LG TV.

The ABL is quite agressive in my opinion. It's quite annoying to see the screen suddenly becoming darker. And as far as I know, there is no way to turn it off.

So, like few other here, I'm really looking forward to Crystal LED. I do hope that they can make it available to normal consumers soon.

Then, you've just went from a blanket statement where the "LG TVs are always better than anything else" to LG TVs are better if you just want a computer monitor (i.e., you'll use it in 444, therefore need HDMI 2.1 for 4k@120Hz). Because that is really what's a stake: you want a computer monitor.

Therefore I agree, the LG OLEDs are the best computer monitors.

LG OLED's do support HDMI 2.1 and 120 FPS frame rates. Settling for just a 60 Hz panel does not sound very appealing (or at least I simply refuse to do so), especially if you're going to use it for gaming too.

Samsung is not interested in setting up factories to make OLED panels now. We'll eventually move on from OLED and they're trying hard to surpass OLED by using different technologies. Currently OLED is just too good if not for burn-in. It's a long road for Samsung.
