Also have the issue really happy about my phone locking me out of my own data.
I get that they want better security from bad apps. But why is this also applied to personal doc's and other stuff.

GUYS I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!! Yaayy!!
Just format your SD card, uninstall all the apps and use it as portable storage.
Done your phone is back to normal.

Please can I down grade my phone to the usual android 10 can't explain how angry I am as I lost my data ,I couldn't restore my data from Nokia as it tells me my password is incorrect tried over 8 times . All data lost. This uprage is just a mess.

My phone is not very old and this update has ruined it. Photos gone, WhatsApp photos not available to view, can’t take a screen shot, can’t use the camera.
This update must have been tested. Need proper advice on how to restore what has been lost ASAP. Who can advise?

Since update last week. I can no longer use voice typing or access Google via chrome using voice mic. But still can use Google assistant mic. I have done all the recommended things but still the same .

UPDATE on my Nokia 4.2:
I had a micro SD card as INTERNAL storage. Someone else shared in another comment that Nokia Support told them to make a backup of the phone, make the SD card portable and do a factory reset.
I did a phone backup and then I removed all the apps off of the SD card and then reformatted it to portable storage. I decided to check my WhatsApp to see if I could see photos again and test my camera as well as the ability to take screenshots. Everything WORKS! I reinstalled the apps that would not load immediately after the update and they work as well!
Voilà! My phone has full functionality again AND I did not need to do a factory reset.
YAY! I am a very happy camper now :-)

In case anyone is wondering this is how I fixed my phone after the ruined WhatsApp and inability to take photos, but I was unable to do anything about photos that had disappeared from the phone.
The below is the instructions I got through Nokia support chat.
- Back up phone.
- Remove SD card.
- Perform factory reset.
- Reinstall SD card, choose USE AS REMOVABLE option.
- Restore your content.
Now the phone is working reliably at least.

I have already update my nokia latest android version..but i have a problem why should not rotate in video player and not supported in clash of clan...any reason??

My 4.2 is NOT doing well at all. Android 11 has made my phone unusable.
I guess this is the trick to get you to buy a new phone. Android 11 has taken away the phone's ability to take photos AND to even VIEW the photos in WhatsApp conversations. I can't take screenshots either! Very few of my apps (with paid subscriptions) work too! Not impressed with Android 11. I didn't ask for this update.

Phone wouldn’t ev... moreSame case to me. My Nokia 4.2 is almost unusable after today update to Android 11. Almost all my photos are gone, cannot take pictures, WhatsApp is not saving media. And I very much worried about my photos, specially from my young daughter.
I contacted Nokia support and told me to wait for the next security update. That's normally 1 month or more. With luck it's happening in few days if there is a massive problem...??
