AnonD-940827, 13 Apr 2021Buy it, and you find out. I don't have to. Both of my phones are less than 8mm thick and I haven't got any of the "problems" that you're speaking of.

L.O.R.D, 13 Apr 2021It's just that the screen is curved. The thinnest phon... moreAgreed. Moto did it with a thinner and smaller form factor. Axon's latest phone is huge and therefore can spread out all the components to make it thinner but still not thin.

To be fair though I think the adverts are coming from China rather than being global adverts. They are just being reported here.

I would gladly trade in some extra weight and thickness for a much bigger battery or a 7.2inch screen or maybe 7000Mah, as it is what is so special about this? so it is a bit thinner and lighter so what, by the time you add in a case they are all nearly the same anyway.
This could have been longest battery life and that would catch my attention as so many people uses more of their phones, would be great to have a 2full days battery life, or a 7.2inch screen and you will have no competitors out there; instead ZTE chose to settle for mediocre everything else alike. No thanks.

All that an an under screen camera is impressive. Just not $1200 impressive. Maybe $600 and never forget ZTE left user with no updated when they got kicked out of the USA, so I would never buy one of their products,

Will not survive Jerryrigeverything's durability test

l would if this thin phone can take the bend stress test, lately, there have been failures with Lenovo Legion dual and Asus ROG5 with this aspect

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2021they are only reporting on what is updated by the company, ... moreTitle :
"Axon 30 Ultra to feature razor-thin frame"
                          In the article :
"while achieving an impressive 8mm overall thickness"

They clearly talk about it as if it was a rare thing.
Even the Poco F2 Pro who have a pop up (who supposedly take a lot of space) a huge cooling chamber (the biggest when it was released) for 8.9mm have 4700mAh battery while the Axon have a 4600mAh one, all that while keeping the 3.5mm Jack and providing the useful IR Blaster, and while its camera are smaller it also has a much smaller camera bump.

It clearly means that it isn't rare, if someone is on something, it is the guy who wrote the article.

the thinnest updated or latest phone as of this year is mi lite 5g, with 5g latest chip and 4250 mah battery.

[deleted post]By frame, it means just the metal part, not the general thickness.

These chinese companies don't consider durability, just look at how easy legion 2 breaks.

And yeah 8mm is not impressive at all.😂
