1. 3x in sensor zoom isn't available on redmi
2. No night mode on Redmi Note 10 Pro selfie cam
3. No night mode on Redmi Note 10 Pro Ultrawide
4. No hdr video or night mode video on xiaomi
5. Realme has astrophotography mode
Basically it means thta Realme uses more of the sensors power. Realme has better processing and software than Xiaomi.
Xiaomi has a few advantages :
1. Photo and video clone
2. Support for gcam
3. Higher resolution telemacro lens

AnonD-986036, 14 Apr 2021Realme 8 Pro is a great device, but not one i would recomme... moreall this is really awesome, but the main problem i have is how horrible the durability is on this phone- it cracks even under slight (realistic) pressure, and fails a waist height drop (no the phone is already bulky, i don't wanna use a case)
if they made the phone lighter and added support where it broke (side fingerprint scanner) so that it was more durable, i'd take it (and clean up the bloatware)

Its 1/1.52" wich is bigger than the imx 686 1/1.7 or something like that
But I agree with you, I also don't care about cameras like you I really hope they downgrade it even more but use a flagship soc, the imx 586 is more than enough

Reasons why I don't prefer Realme phones:
1. Crappy branding on the back. "Dare to Leap" is cringe worthy
2. Huge chin bezel compared to the competing phones
3. Smaller batteries (excluding C series) compared to the competing phones
4. Mediocre image quality from the main camera

Look up the OLED display failure case in India. Also the durability test for that phone is a mess....the Realme is probably better but I’d go with the Oppo A93 probably

The Android Freak, 14 Apr 2021What are your expectations from Realme 9 Pro? An phone that can compete with Redmi Note 10 Pro at all aspects. No more. Realme 8 Pro cannot match Xiaomi currently in Design, materials, display, and price. I don't mind if Realme priced it the same as Redmi Note 10 pro, because it offers something different than Redmi. But it is $70 more, yet it is missing a lot of features, that is unacceptable. Considering Realme has done it perfectly before. Starting with realme 7 series, Realme is dead.

but realme had the balls to put them on the realme 6 pro.
realme used to do much back then, but now xiaomi is getting wayyy WAYYYY more serious than realme. no doubt that gsmarena said the redmi note 10 pro is a much better buy than the realme 8 pro.

im begging for these brands
can we just have main and ultrawide?
macro and depth dont help.
but they keep forcing it on them, and its not even that great.
throw the marketing away, and those two sensors will be gone, then the phone would be much cheaper.

It says 1/1.52" on this website, so I'm not surprised at all about it being smaller than the flagship 108 MP that is 1/1.33".
