MrDong, 15 Apr 2021Chinese phones are even more overpriced.Every top model phone is overpriced nowadays.
Of course, some fanboys will comment that a 1200EUR Xiaomi or Oppo is far better than a 1200EUR iPhone. Maybe on paper yes. But I will be very curious to see how this models will resist in time. Imo, when you are buying such an expensive phone you will not get rid of it in 1-2 years. Personally, I will want to keep it 3-5 years. And even after that period of time (3-5 years), I will want to sell it and take some nice money for it.

Learn what innovation means these days
Airpods were innovative...no wonder everyone else make a copy cat of them
                            Apple watch also
M1 for the non mobile platform...the power/consumption ratio that can scale like crazy
Promotion back 6 years ago, started the 120hz in mobile platform
Again , innovation when the adoption can be major and others do the same while not being too in your face
No more time spent with people like you that are a brand blocked with no sense of knowledge

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2021Apple events are hardly exciting these days thanks to lack ... moreErm, the whole market got a bit stale in the past few years. It's just all the same adding more cameras, more Mpix, more GB, more mAh, more Hz, more inches, less ports and less accessories over and over again (and an occasional attempt to get the rolling title of most ridiculous non-assignable button and most useless digital assistant). Once the smartphones have achieved a certain set of hardware abilities, it became hard to make any progress significant enough to really excite again. You'll be able to perform more or less the same tasks with a current flagship and a 5-year-old device and it won't matter where the fingerprint sensor or front camera is or how high the display refresh rate is. The most obvious differentiating factor now seems to be software support, both OS and apps, and the supported frequencies - if you can connect to the network and run the app, you'll get the job done, period. (yes, we could argue e. g. about camera quality, but how often are everyday mobile phone photos scrutinised at the 1:1 magnification level?).
But I think it isn't a bad thing. We really should drive down our crave for ever new entertainment stuff, however tempting it may be presented by the manufacturers.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2021Apple events are hardly exciting these days thanks to lack ... moreI watch them just because. I already know I'm not gonna buy new iPhone or iPad or whatever they are releasing since I did that 2 years ago and I'm good for a while. Especially M1 Macs were interesting because of radiucal redesign. Not likely I'm gonna buy one, but I wanted to see stuff around it. But I just watch it to stay in touch. I also watched Samsung event and POCO event. Apple events are just very watchable because they drop insane production value into them. After weird Xbox horror and somewhat eh PS5 events, Apple's first "pandemic" event was totally different and didn't feel like someone recorded it in a garage on 480p webcam.
