hahaha...the only hope of nokia to be on the right track is the pricing cheap of their device. but i would say thir price is skyhigh!

wateva Nokia made a nice phone, probably one of the bests. but you know wat? most of the people have lost faith in Nokia and MS. they (N & MS) can only regain it by providing phones to people to show how good their product is. and to make that they have to keep the price lower what they didnt do. it will be one of the reasons Nokia will fail this time too.

come on guys, you are talking only about the camera on the lumia 920. there are other things to worry about. the most important among them is the user friendliness of the OS . So far I have seen, i never saw Microsoft making a user friendly OS for phone. thats why I dont expect them to make this one user friendly too. and customization options is another one parameter. android is the best in this parameter making a huge gap with the second. i am not a fanboy of android either. but as I have used ios and android, my vote goes for the later one.
hope MS will make this WP OS a better one this time. i wont mind switching to WP if they give me something better. the better they make it the better it is for us, the customers. lets hope for the best for Nokia and MS.

Firstly, pre-order prices are always high, regardless of the manufacturer; they have to be so as to make some kind of return on investment.
Secondly, the figures being represented here are for unlocked handsets sold directly through NOKIA. A bit of research would tell you that a majority of smartphones are purchased on contract, not outright.
Thirdly, most tech-writers are egocentric trolls that rarely, if ever, represent information in an objective manner. The price of the 920 is no different to that of the galaxy s3, which is still selling for 595 Euro on Amazon (32gb version).

I hear JB will fix that problem because engineers at Google used triple buffering in the JB software which manages the hardware much better, so I've heard and seen on videos and demonstrations.
But the crux of the problem with android's lags(which doesnt happen to me, if anything maybe a 2 second lag in closing/opening apps, no force closes or restarts) is the fact that its too "open".
I bet if you look at all those people who complain about their android lagging you will see the trend where most of them have rooted their phone, installed mods such as Cyanogen, deliberately run too much heavy apps and/or disabled vital background apps.
Thats like buying a brand new car and saying the engine doesnt work properly after you filled its gas tank with salt water.

I like to be able to have memory expansion option (32GB Micro SD).
I also like to be able to watch movies (divX), and listen to my music collection files (flac).
Nokia and Windows are just not the right pair -> not only that I can't expend the memory (and I blame Nokia for that), but watching the movies and listening to music files under Windows is a major pain.
Nokia looks wonderful - especially the 920, but I can not forgive the major issues I listed above. It is also insanely expensive. For that kind of money I’d rather get a laptop with TOP specs (!!!)
For AU$180 I can get the phone that will do EVERYTHING for me: listen to my flac's, watch my divX, has full-blown GPS (!!!), has Micro SD memory slot, it is easy to use and makes the phone calls like all other phones. It is small, looks nice... all that for AU$180... it's called Galaxy ACE.
