I'm also... moreI had an XZ1 Compact, got water damage. Moved to an S20 FE 5G, sent back to Samsung due to the major hardware touchscreen issue that they don't want to solve. They are refusing to provide a refund at present.
I'm now on a Motorola G8 which is surprisingly snappy despite being 10% of the price of a flagship Samsung. Thinking about buying a discounted Xperia 5 III at the end of the year, it truly looks excellent.

There is no problem just picking best components and cram them in device for every single year. Anyone can do that. No one apparently can do a fully functioning, connected ecosystem of hardware and software but Apple. Only other being even virtually close is maybe Samsung with their integration with their Smart TV's and DeX. And the list basically ends there.

ah yes, their Apple's “biggest” innovation, slightly smaller a chunk of notch and the same design as always, this is Apple anyway. Saving their money on efficiency and design while these Android phones could do curved edges, 12-18GB RAM, better screen, higher brightness and refresh rate and bigger ram with lots of customization and designs while iPhone still stuck with this design but cost more, truly a scam. But looking forward for the camera, peoples said that the camera is 48MP with a sensor that can give you more details and pixels than S21 Ultra, I'm interested after all these 12MP. We'll see about that.

There are far far better choices on the android base than pixel....I hated samsung one ui but it still beats pixels ui with it's naff non customisable or removable search bar on the home screen, image quality sucked on my device if I disabled hrd at all....the detail would look even more mushy than iphone (yes it's possible ) :-)
before you jump definitely visit a few forums for the different brands, do some research....I was forever trying to help people on google pixel forum sort out issues ( joining forums was my saviour during lockdown and self isolation ) it gave me something to wake up for.
pixel is a good phone with limited hardware and janky software...plus brands that use near stock android also have some of those same issues , because android 11 stock isn't great.
I am not saying it's the worst because other brands from asia have managed to work wonders with android.
I really only moved back to iphone for now until something android tickles my fancy again, google pixel experience from 2 phones kind of killed my enthusiasm for android right now, I am hoping xiaomi , oneplus. oppo or similar will be on my list toward the end of this year

I agree that iphones are boring and lazy design. I'm still 6s due to that stupid notch. If google release an easy simple complete phone data transfer I would purchase pixel phone next day. If apple can transfer droid to iPhone google should too
