Report: Samsung considered bringing back the 3D ToF sensor for the Galaxy S22, decided not to

Apparently, it was Apple's decision to include a ToF sensor on the iPhone 12 Pro that caused Samsung to think about bringing it back.

Are these better at Bokeh than 9PV?

    Please add a ToF to the front camera. The LG G8s has a ToF at the front and is significantly better at facial recognition, especially at night.

      Why do they care what Apple put in theirs, just do what they feel that works the best. Feels like Samsung has no more vision.

          Even Huawei didn't have any autofocus issues without laser Af. Even Xiaomi did not have that issue despite using an 108 Mp HMX with more resolution, which means harder read time for the isp, yet they don't have laser af, yet thet don't have AF issues. Why not just put an TOF so edge detection could be near perfect like Huawei and Apple. Apple used to be the worse in edges, but with 12 Pro, they are one of the best

            simpler = cheaper
