Incredibly sharp footage and great dynamic range. Check tech tablets video for the same.
Even though the UW sensor is same as last year. The Snapdragon 888 ISP is doing its magic here making the footage way better than last year.

That ultrawide video is cringeworthy how bad saturation and contrast. And yes before prelease software excuse kicks in contrast and saturation tuning is like alpha stage of development.

That charging speed comes at a hefty price like literally. Charger brick is like the size of folded phone in half. I have no clue who would carry that thing around.

not gonna lie, it's a very ugly phone. even the p40 pro+ had a much better design while having the same materials as this phone.
maybe just remove the mi band screen on the back? then just leave the camera island as it is.

All Huawei's mate 40 and p40 models are out of stock in China. They can only be bought unofficially from 3rd party sellers for marked up prices within China or from limited flash sales where they are very difficult to snap up. The p50 therefore won't be an option for most people as there will be large demand but very limited supply

I posted first my simple opinion based on my long experience with Xiaomi phones(i am still using one) and you had to reply just to try to challenge me. Sorry but you look suspicious. You are free to post your own opinion as well like i did in case you didn't know instead of judging other people's opinions. And mine was not even based on anyone else's comment at that point but mostly on the article of this site and it's product.

They will of course try to change stuff on the software but usually it's never what you expect until they release a new smartphone and there you have it now it is fixed. Go and buy the new phone and be happy.
I remember being a victim with many of their phones with hoping that they will release "simple software fixes" for tons of issues they had and even though i was getting OTA updates it was never for what i wanted. And yes i send to them many problem reports but nothing.
Fingers crossed they will change their policy with this super expensive phone.

George, 20 Apr 2021I judge based on Mi 11 vanilla and Mi 10 phones for which i... moreFirst of all Samsung with their S20 ultra (Exynos was used in most places) & Apple with their iPhone 12 series (rebranded iPhone 11 with A14 chip) never beat Mi last year completely. They traded blows in multiple areas.
Yes the MI 10 Pro wasn't the best phone last year, it lacked a few things like IP rating and lower spec'd screen.
But judging Mi 11 Ultra based on last year's Mi 10 Pro is not fair, especially after you see the improvements in all departments. Xiaomi actually listening to their customers while we know how much Samsung and Apple listen to their customers (cough cough... Removing chargers)
Secondly, your posts clearly point to the fact that you hate Xiaomi for whatever reasons, going on to call me a fannnnboy for no reason but stating facts.
