For example in North America these particular Motorola's can be purchased from retailers with good return policies. They will average $50 to $100 less than similar Xiaomi's, which means they are in a different price bracket, especially for price conscious buyers.

Besides, a phone that costs $50 to $100 more ought to have better specs. Am glad we have decent choices in every price bracket.

Motorola are not making it easy for their loyal customers
They bring out multiple new models and name them differently in different parts of the world. Some are never sold in some countries or have different features. Their commitment to only one system update in different countries makes me think it's time I looked elsewhere for my next purchase

IpsDisplay, 21 Apr 2021Light bleed, worse viewing angles worst contrast are all sh... moreOh, you know LCD is susceptible to all these issues yet attack phones without it, just because you prefer it? Like I said, you'd do with way more rationality.

And, go to gsmarena Poco X3 Pro comment section; someome there complained of screen ficker on his unit.

The G60 is more comparable against the Global Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, which happens to be quite a remarkably similar phone in terms of chipset and camera hardware. The G40 Fusion is definitely eyeing against the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and with the inclusion of a 3.5mm audio jack alongside a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a much bigger 6,000mAh battery, I really see no need to get the Mi 11 Lite.

Now, pat yourself on the back. Very rational and knowledgeable!

Let's see if you'd ever admit that light bleed is an ESTABLISHED IPS issue. Lol.

Cyberchum, 20 Apr 2021Oh, you didn't know what you did? You were berating th... moreThe inherent nature of OLED is factually a contribution to the display faults of the redmi note 10

These same bugs are directly tied to how OLED has to be calibrated especially the flickering at high refresh rate

I hope you realize that OLED has gamma issues and shows images differently based on brightness and how the screen refreshes

This makes quality control far more complex unless you'd argue that QC is easier on OLED?

My reasoning is sound, you spent almost half of your response about me directly and not the point at hand again

IpsDisplay, 20 Apr 2021And how is comparing a separate generation of smartphone ra... moreOh, you didn't know what you did? You were berating the Redmi Note 10 phones for going the OLED display route, instead of IPS as the Moto G60 and G40 did, using the screen bug complaints as justification.

What did I do? Point out the irrationality in that narrative, because the issue had nothing whatsoever to do with the display technology. It's about QC, not OLED vs IPS. And to drive that home, I highlighted phones with IPS displays which also had complaints.

But this is just you and your strong hatred for anything OLED. Very biased. There are many instances of that here, so not an ad hominem, as I addressed the point, itself.

I hate neither of those screen techs. I lean towards IPS more, but that's actually due to a reason that have nothing to do with the performance of OLED.

                                  I'm a fan, not a fanboy!

Cyberchum, 20 Apr 2021Redmi Note 9 Pro had light bleeding. Poco X3 had ghosting. ... moreAnd how is comparing a separate generation of smartphone rational?

You do realize I made a comparison between to very competitively similar device of the same timeline

But you ignored my point and stated that I should be rational for once which to me sounds personal.. as hominem as usual
