but their rise is pretty much the aftermath of the restriction towards huawei...
deep down, everyone knows huawei is still making some of the best phones around.
it just dint came with an eco-system that people would use.

the only reason oppo and vivo is on the list is they managed to change the business practice when it comes to making and selling phones and usually they only take risk only once, Reno 5 is amazing and the vivo phones as well......for now so yeah they will lose that spot very fast.

Only Samsung and Huawei sell significant amount of phones over $600 among android OEMs.
Samsung and Apple are popular everywhere.
While the rest rely on two markets (China and India).
I do not know why people care so much if Apple is #2 or #5.
Iphone 12 alone may sell more than 80 mi units before iphone 13 is announced.
Except USA, no other market has this phone for less than $800.
If Xiaomi or Oppo sells more than Apple, it changes nothing for Apple.
Profits made by iphone/ipad sales is 3x all android OEMs combined.
While other fight to know who sells more phones that barely bring $100 profit per unit, Apple is selling phones that outside USA may easily has more than $600 profit per unit (more than $1000 in some places).

Look at Xiaomi and BBK Electronics, they used to trail Huawei all the time, with huawei gone, they've taken its market share. Its good these companies are stepping up and putting out product.
