Apple is at it again, cheap plot to get attention, just look at those million & billion he mentioned, do you really trust the con man "... 100 million iOS devices and in just over a week users have accounted for nearly half a billion searches."

1. If they joined forces then there would be no competition and no room for growth
2. It's as far fetched as saying playstation and xbox are going to make a console together
3. You are forgetting the biggest thing - apple would claim they invented it all and would then sue samsung if they said otherwise ;o)

I think that Apple should join partnerships up with Samsung and stop fighting. And bring together more improve devices with the partnership.. we are bored of hearing them taking each other to court... and with both technologies together less errors and more improvements.. That would be cool if apple release an iphone with android software...
