Not tr0lling or making things up, but just check Weibo or Twitter posts and there has been a handful of cases where dust enters the camera, high quality you say? That’s also supposedly IP68 so the marketing is misleading.
The software is horrendous even Huawei without GMS done a lot better.

Equinox, 22 Apr 2021but the sales speak a more different language than just buz... moreIt will be interested to see how many units from Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra model they will sell. If I am not mistaken is their first phone who sells above 1000EUR price tag. Also it had a lot of marketing and hype.
And even more important, how this model will perform in time. Let's say 24 months period.
If everything from what I said above will be positive about it, then I will take my hat off for them. That means they did a nice quality device, that people appreciate and are willing to buy in large numbers.
Until then, let's be serious, majority of Xiaomi numbers worldwide come from sub 400EUR models. Whom people change once per year.

Fake IP68 as several users have reported camera dust issue. Not making this up just check it yourself. I have a picture of the related issue.

No one takes anything they release seriously. People are more excited for Android phones (budget or flagships).
The MI 11 Ultra generated more buzz than the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

There was a time when only the most well off people could afford anything that was purple because it was a really difficult colour to make. All manufacturers need to start releasing all colour variants for all phone models, it's really annoying when you find the phone you want but you can only get it in a really crappy colour
