A lower powered surface pro beats the iPad pro with Mac just by the sheer ecosystem of apps available on Windows. IPad OS is nothing but a joke. The M1 processor is good but the OS is a joke.

ishreal, 20 Apr 2021How much you wanna bet Qualcomm will catch up by 2022?This M1 SoC is the same that i used in the latest MacBook Pro (that's on the same performance level with current AMD & Intel CPU's). It's years away for Qualcomm, or any other ARM SoC manufacturer, to catch with the current Apple Desktop/Tablet ARM SoC's. Next year it will be even more difficult for them. Apple will bring the "M2" with it's next generation ARM v9 micro architecture.
I only wish they would drop the prices a bit. :D

And because of apples influence on supply chains ( because they mass produce which helps bring manufacturing costs down etc)
This can help Speed up adoption for Android phones etc and eat away at the monopoly of OLED on premium smartphone displays

Backlight in LCD can literally be anything or even nothing at all

beep bop boop, 21 Apr 2021the Mi 11 Ultra's screen can get as bright as 1700 nitsPeak brightness for oled = white dot equivalent to 1% of screen area while 99% is black.
Brightness on oled changes according to amount of white. Less portion of screen covered by white means hardware is gonna push brightness.
You can never reach same value with whole screen showing white image. Not with oled.

As for the rumored - I say rumored because just like RT, it was not accessible by the general public, the ARM compiler were buggy and slow to transcode to x86-64 that bring no advantage to the ARM architecture and yet due to compatibility it does not give the flexibility like your traditional Windows 10. So, I have no idea what you're talking about. Windows 10X on the other hand, looks promising. It looks like they taking a lot from Chromebook with UWP support. Let hope MS don't screw up this one too.
