Anonymous, 22 Apr 2021Apple also cheating with their M1 processor on GeekBench. ... moreMost benchmarks that claim to measure the single core performance in fact measure the single-THREADED performance because not all apps are designed in a way that they can utilise multiple threads in the first place (i.e. There are a lot of workloads that you can't parallelise). What benchmark app developers should do is to simply rename the "single core score" to "single thread score", not to modify the entire testing procedure to see the literal per core performance. Then your claim is that Apple "cheats" in benchmark - this is absolutely false, there's nothing Apple can do to make Intel/AMD CPU single threaded scores more comparable to M1's. This is more of a problem with the specific naming scheme used by the benchmark companies.

Yeah, I get it, people are supposed to believe whatever the Antutu and Genshin test scores you brag over a set of objective benchmark results (and those benchmarks apps were NOT developed by Anandtech, mind you). Just because they present the numbers you personally find uncomfortable to confront, that doesn't make their test results any less trustworthy.

I explained clearly to you that it wouldn't be the case because you can't disallow people from posting technical comments in comment sections. It isn't against the rules. So what is the point of adding forums? Yes, I understand that you can create topics. I know what forums are. My point is that technical comments won't disappear just because forums are added to this website.

People who are at software field can't really tell the exact working method of hardwares i.e. microprocessors. Talking about Rosette 2, it it's a binary translator where apple did a trick of translating the code at aarch64 by keeping x86. That's why it can perform like 60% of a native app..

By bringing anandtech here you just lost the validity in this argument. They got stuffs with fake degree where I'm an electrical engineer. But you're surly a guy who never went to a school. You can say nothing but relying on Internet.

Even if there are forums, a lot of people will still post on comment sections anyway. You seem to think that if there are forums, people will only post technical discussions on forums. That's not the case. They will still post technical discussions on comment sections and they will post non-technical discussions on forums. It'll be less convenient for people who want to read all discussions. They will have to read both places.

[deleted post]benchmarks have not mattered since the beginning, since they never relate to real world performance, i personally thought he meant MTK but he did not. i realized i may have caused some sort of confusion here.

That article was a good read though, even tho i dont know what SMT based architecture is.
