These guys can keep saying fragmentation all they want, but the fragmentation like diversity is our strength.
I wasn't worried when buying my Find X3 pro as to which company panel I'll get... never had to deal with display issues arising out of panels being from different manufacturers on the same phone

Last year reports were the same but BOE was discarded because it couldn't meet apple's quality requirements.

                  "Diversify"

More like force one vendor to offer a better deal now that the second vendor ostensibly offers these panels as well.

Jerry101923, 21 Apr 2021How to know exactly which iPhone has which display provider... moreMy guess would be that they'll have them sorted per vendor on single model. For example they'll source LG displays for the SE and vanilla models, BOE for Pro and Samsung for Pro Max. Or something along those lines. I don't think they can afford to use different ones within same model because even if they are the same on paper, sooner or later something would indicate inferiority or superiority of one and that would suck for owners of particular model range to get that inferior display even though they bought the same model as everyone else.

They'll be having issues just like the Pixel phones made with LG displays.

                                      To reduce profit for them?

Also, Samsung being the primary supplier isn't an indication of quality...it could be to reduce cost (their panels aren't as good as LG's)
