It allows you to program and debug on nearly EVERYTHING.
Parallels + Windows 10 => gives you MISDN / Vistual studio / C sharp
Xcode => all Apple development
Android studio => Your android dev needs
On top of that all your default favs Intellij / Eclipse / VS / => Java or php or c++
Native terminal allowing you to ssh / scp / all commands allowing you to connect to linux backend servers or Windows server if you choose.
All that goodness.. with awesome battery life form factor .. able to keep up with your clients outdoors for hours.

I'm still not sold on the move to ARM for Macs, but at least M1-powered Macs are fast and the software is there. iPads are fun, but I have still not gotten the selling point for 'pro' models with iOS - it's full of holes and pro apps for anything other than drawing/arts are sorely missing. A M1-powered iPad Pro running iOS makes even less sense to me, but give it macOS and it might actually start looking like something truly worth a try.

The M1 iPad pro has the processing power but it doesn't have the professional applications like FCP and similar softwares. Apple may eventually reduce the thin line between the iPads and Macs eventually to create an hybrid OS but as of now I see this as an overkill. The digital artists can get the 2020 for a good deal and A12Z would be more than enough power to handle most applications.

I just browse the web and listen to music(BT) with my ipad, it's enough that it doesn't lag doing that. I'm not the target audience, extra performance on that thing would be wasted on me.

Its base price is okay but when anyone go for more storages the prices become ridiculously high after adding keyboard prices become terrible

although i don't think there would be a ground breaking advancement in CPU department, but we will see some noteworthy improvements in other departments.

I bought the base Macbook Air for 880 Euro, cheaper than the new iPad and it has a very good keyboard, don't need anything separately :)

I don't need super powerful SoC for my needs in a tablet. Already iPad has lots of limitations and super expensive. After my iPad 2 I haven't really ran after any iPads. I like my iPhone 12 Pro Max 512 GB though and Samsung Note 20 Ultra....

As a programmer, I would NEVER pay for anything from Apple. Prison iOS is for default users and grannies only..
You guys should add the 'I'm not interested in Apple products' option as well.

i ll stick to my ipad 11 pro 2018 it work like a charm for all my needs.it would be nice if the new ipad 11 had mini led...good to see the base 64gb is gone too.
